Holland will soon be back for at least three more MCU movies. From powerful foes like Green Goblin and Thanos to resourceful antagonists like Vulture and Mysterio, Spider-Man’s MCU timeline is riddled with amazing fights. Spider-Man Stops Criminals & Saves The Ferry With Iron Man’s Help

Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)

Tom Holland’s first solo film as Spider-Man was 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming. The project has its fair share of exciting moments, and the first of them to appear on the list is the ferry fight scene and rescue. Early in his MCU career, Spider-Man was still getting the hang of the superhero life in Spider-Man: Homecoming. As such, his efforts to save others were not as clean and well-thought-out as they are now.

The ferry scene is a good representation of that. It has a mix of different elements that make Spider-Man work. First, there is direct conflict. Using his webs and Stark Tech present on his suit, Spider-Man easily dispatches a group of henchmen. However, Michael Keaton’s Vulture emerges and makes things difficult. The sequence then turns into a frantic attempt to keep the ferry from breaking apart, complete with Iron Man assisting Spider-Man, which ends an exciting set piece with civilians safe and sound.

Spider-Man Defeats The Vulture And Saves His Life

Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)

Like many superheroes in the comics, Spider-Man does not kill. That has been tested in the MCU a couple of times, but Spider-Man: Homecoming‘s best fight did a masterful job of showing what the hero is all about. Michael Keaton’s Vulture was a frightening foe, but despite everything he had done, Peter Parker just could not let the character die.

First, Spider-Man and Vulture fought in an epic location. As the beach went up in flames, the two traded blows, with Vulture picking the hero up, dropping him in the air, and slamming Spidey into the ground. However, Tom Holland’s Marvel hero realizes that Vulture’s wings will explode and not only alerts him, but also gets him out of the rubble left by the explosion and saves Michael Keaton’s Adrian Toomes from possibly burning to death.

Spider-Man Shockingly Fights Doctor Strange

Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)

Spider-Man: No Way Home is the most ambitious Spider-Man movie so far. Tom Holland’s Peter Parker fights many characters in the MCU film, and the first of such fights to make its way into the list happens to be against a hero, not a villain. Spider-Man will always do everything he can to save others, even if they are villains.

Benedict Cumberbatch recently teased Doctor Strange 3.

To that effect, instead of letting Doctor Strange send the multiverse villains who had arrived in the MCU back to their universes, where they had died, Spider-Man stole Strange’s spell-containing relic. This turns into a full-on sequence where Doctor Strange hunts Spider-Man. The heroes’ powers are showcased, with Spider-Man’s Spider-Sense being visually shown in the MCU as Strange separates his soul from his body, and the two go into the mirror dimension, where Peter outsmarts Strange.

Spider-Man’s Spider-Sense Leads To Him Beating Mysterio

Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019)

Spider-Man’s fight with Doctor Strange might have shown a physical representation of his Spider-Sense, but the classic Marvel ability was showcased first in the second Spider-Man film in Tom Holland’s MCU trilogy. Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio and his illusions led to some of the most visually stunning and complex sequences in Spider-Man movies. Two of them appear on the list, with the first one featuring Mysterio’s death.

Spider-Man: Far From Home poked fun at the hero’s Spider-Sense, with Aunt May calling it the “Peter Tingle” in the MCU. However, Spidey’s final fight with Mysterio showed the ability was not a joke in any way. Closing his eyes, Peter allowed only his Spider-Sense to guide him. The sequence shows how powerful the ability is and stands as one of Spider-Man’s most epic scenes in live-action, with the hero destroying Mysterio’s drones and the villain shooting himself by accident.

Spider-Man Fights Thanos With Magic

Avengers: Infinity War (2018)

Before Spider-Man and Doctor Strange found themselves on opposite sides in Spider-Man: No Way Home, they teamed up in the MCU. 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War separated Earth’s Mightiest Heroes into a few teams. One of those had Spider-Man and Doctor Strange as members, with the heroes fighting Thanos on Titan. That sequence led to one of the most fun Spider-Man fight scenes in the MCU.

Assisted by Doctor Strange’s portals, Spider-Man manages to get some solid hits in against Thanos. The Mad Titan is very annoyed by the wall-crawler’s continued attacks, which is only made better by how much fun Peter Parker is having during the fight. Spider-Man hilariously says “magic” with every new hit he lands on Thanos. The sequence is epic, as other MCU heroes are also part of the flurry of attacks and Spider-Man fights the MCU’s Big Bad.

Spider-Man Loses To Mysterio’s Illusions

Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019)

While Mysterio would eventually die after underestimating Spider-Man, the villain was first successful against Tom Holland’s Peter Parker. When Spider-Man: Far From Home was announced, attention immediately turned to how Marvel Studios would depict Mysterio’s illusions in live-action. Instead of giving him powers, the MCU only pretended to do so. However, even though Spider-Man discovered that Quentin Back was a farce, the villain was still frightening.

With the assistance of hundreds of cutting-edge drones, Mysterio created illusions that had Spider-Man not knowing where to run. The fight sequence stands as one of the MCU’s most visually stunning. There is even a zombie Iron Man to haunt Peter, who is already feeling sad about Tony Stark’s death. As the characters fight, real-world elements keep clashing with Mysterio’s world of illusions, creating a dynamic scenario that constantly shifts.

Spider-Man Fights Green Goblin In Happy’s Building

Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)

Spider-Man: No Way Home is packed with incredible villains and engaging fight scenes. However, as the film’s main antagonist, Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin is part of the best one-on-one fights with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man. The first of those happens when Norman Osborn’s Green Goblin persona takes over in Happy Hogan’s apartment. This leads to all hell breaking loose, as Spider-Man and the villain fight all over the building.

Close

One of the movie’s best decisions was to not give Green Goblin his mask. As such, Dafoe was free to emote and give it his all, and this led to his fight scenes with Spider-Man being very intense. Spidey and Green Goblin trade blows in Happy’s apartment before they eventually crash through several floors. Spider-Man is quite violent with how he fights, but Norman just laughs. The sequence has been etched in history because Green Goblin ends the fight by killing Aunt May, making it a must-see moment.

Spider-Man Helps Team Iron Man

Captain America: Civil War (2016)

Tom Holland’s debut as Spider-Man happened to be in one of the MCU’s best movies. Captain America: Civil War divided many of the franchise’s heroes into two teams. This started the mentor relationship between Iron Man and Peter Parker. There are many exciting individual moments where Spider-Man shines after the two teams of heroes clash at an airport. Instead of separating them, they are put together here.

Captain America: Civil War did a perfect job of making Peter Parker as funny as he is in the comics, showing his wisecracking attitude as he fought MCU veterans.

Spider-Man’s role in the battle includes direct fights with characters like Captain America, the Winter Soldier, the Falcon, Ant-Man, and more. Captain America: Civil War did a perfect job of making Peter Parker as funny as he is in the comics, showing his wisecracking attitude as he fought MCU veterans. The fight is also epic because it showcased Spider-Man’s skills against many beloved MCU heroes right in his debut.

Spider-Man Fights Green Goblin And Almost Kills Him

Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)

Spider-Man: No Way Home had one of the MCU’s most hard-hitting final fights. Tom Holland’s Peter Parker was almost consumed by vengeance when he found himself in front of Green Goblin after he murdered Aunt May. The fight scene is so close to the top of the list due to its brutal nature. It is Spider-Man unlike how he normally behaves, which just proves how the hero does hold back his punches normally.

In the scene, Spider-Man lets loose. He very much intends to kill Green Goblin for Aunt May’s death. The fact that Tom Holland’s Peter Parker is stopped by Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man, the first cinematic version of the hero, makes it all the more poignant. A veteran Spidey showing Holland’s Peter that there is life after loss is a good way to end the Spider-Man vs Green Goblin fight.

The Three Spider-Men Fight Multiverse Villains

Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)

There was no other way the list could end. Spider-Man: No Way Home was a generational event, with the movie finally uniting Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland’s versions of Spider-Man on the big screen. More than that, the three cinematic Spider-Men came together to fight multiverse villains from Maguire and Garfield’s Marvel franchises, while also trying to cure them.

That was an exciting setup, and the result was just as great as expected. Every Spider-Man gets their time to shine on their own, such as Garfield’s Peter Parker saving MJ from falling to her death like Gwen Stacy did. They also had memorable scenes together, showing their chemistry as the Spider-Men came up with a plan and slowly proceeded to cure every multiverse villain, making it the best Spider-Man fight sequence in the MCU.
