AAP Candidates List for Delhi Assembly Election 2025: Check Names and Constituency

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is gearing up for the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections with high hopes of continuing its legacy in the national capital. Known for its focus on education, healthcare and public welfare, the AAP has built a strong presence in Delhi politics over the past decade.

Led by leader Arvind Kejriwal, the party is widely praised for its governance model and grassroots approach.

With the stakes higher than ever, AAP aims to address pressing issues, introduce innovative policies and build on its achievements in areas such as public transport, water and housing.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced its second list of candidates for the Delhi Assembly elections slated to be held in February 2025, making major changes to its line-up. The ruling party changed candidates in 20 of the 70 constituencies, including abandoning 13 sitting MLAs. The adjustments reflect AAP’s strategy to strengthen its position in the upcoming elections.

Manish Sisodia and Rakhi Bidlan, two prominent sitting MLAs, have been allotted new constituencies: Jangpura and Manipur respectively (Manipur). Meanwhile, renowned UPSC coach and motivational speaker Avadh Ojha, who recently joined AAP, has been selected as a contestant from Patparganj in place of Sisodia. Rakhi Bidlan, who won the Mangolpuri seat three times, will now give way to Rakesh Jatav Dharamrakshak to represent the North West Delhi constituency.

Both recently switched to AAP from the BJP, with Shunty replacing outgoing Speaker Ram Niwas Goel and Bittu taking over from Dilip Pandey, AAP’s chief whip in this session of Parliament.

The AAP had earlier announced 11 candidates in the first election list. The 2025 Delhi Assembly elections, involving all 70 seats, will be a triangular contest between the AAP, the BJP and the Congress.

Although both the AAP and the Congress are part of the Indian National Group, they have chosen to contest the Delhi elections independently.
