All Shiny-Locked Pokemon in The Series, Special Form and Regular Shiny-Locked Pokémon

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is a video game developed by Game Freak for the Nintendo Switch. They were released on November 18, 2022, and are the first games in the ninth generation of the Pokemon series. Set in the Pardia region, these games are inspired by the Iberian Peninsula and introduce the concept of an open world, with urban areas seamlessly connected to the wilderness. The storyline unfolds through three separate paths, giving players greater flexibility in exploration.

Notably, the game introduces 110 new Pokemon, two regional forms, and time-shifting creatures known as Paradox Pokemon. A unique feature is the Terastal phenomenon, which allows Pokemon to transform into special “Tera Types”. Despite mixed reviews, they became Nintendo’s biggest new releases, selling over 10 million copies in three days and reaching 23.23 million copies by September 2023.

All Shiny-Locked Pokémon in the Series

Shiny-locked Pokémon are special creatures in the Pokémon series that cannot be found in the regular game in their unique, alternating-colored “shiny” form. These Shinies are essentially rarer versions of Pokémon with different color schemes that are highly sought after by collectors and trainers. In the series, Shiny-locked Pokémon are mainly divided into two categories: special forms and regular forms.

Special forms include Pokémon like Ash Grimm, which is a unique version of Grimm, and the various Pikachus in the Pokémon anime who wear different hats. Regular shiny-locked Pokémon, on the other hand, are those with standard appearances, such as Victini and Keldeo, and Pokémon in shiny form cannot be encountered during typical gameplay. These sequins are often offered through special events or distribution.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Gameplay

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s gameplay follows the classic Pokemon structure, with players capturing and trading Pokemon to explore the world and battle other trainers. Newly added is the ability to choose to fight a trainer on a specific path. These games stand out for their open-world designs, blending urban areas and untamed wilderness without borders.

Unlike previous Pokemon games, players are free to choose from three routes and complete objectives in any order. The game introduces 112 new Pokemon, including 3 starter Pokemon and 2 legendary Pokemon: Koraidon and Miraidon. Notable features include the “Let’s Go” mechanic, which allows Pokémon to roam around the world and automatically engage in battles, as well as cooperative play with up to three other players.

The Terastal phenomenon adds a unique twist, giving Pokémon a crystal-like appearance and changing their type to match their “Tera type.” Overall, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet offer a combination of classic Pokemon gameplay with innovative features and a vast, interconnected world to explore.
