How to play Amnesia: The Bunker
Amnesia: The Bunker is a horror game where players take on the role of Henri Clement, a French soldier during World War I. Trapped in an underground bunker, Henry has to deal with a terrifying monster called the Beast that hates light. To survive, Henry needs to keep the bunker powered up, search for supplies and weapons, and fight off the enemy. But ammunition is hard to come by, so he has to be careful.
It’s pitch black in the bunker, and Henry has a watch that tells him when the power is running out. If it runs out, the monsters will start hunting him, and Henry must refuel the generator and use a noisy flashlight to see the situation. The amount of fuel is limited, so if it runs out, Henry must complete the game in darkness.
This game is different from other games in the series because it has a “semi-open world”. This means that players can explore more freely and choose how to do things. There are not so many scripted events, and the beasts are always around to make things more terrifying.
The game is also inspired by immersive simulations, meaning the game world reacts to the player’s actions. For example, players can use gasoline to create makeshift light sources and scare off monsters. The safe room is where players can rest and save their progress, and they can also check the map to understand the layout of the bunker. Unlike other games, Bunker does not have a mechanic that can make your character go crazy.

Amnesia: The Bunker Conspiracy
In 1916, during World War I, French soldier Henri Clement searches for his missing friend Augustin Lambert on the battlefield. They are captured by the Germans, and Henri wakes up in an abandoned bunker with no memory. He meets another soldier, Albert, who tells him that a monster, “The Beast,” is terrorizing the bunker.
Henry learns the history of the bunker: soldiers discovered an old tunnel, but it brought nightmares and madness. Henry feels guilty about Lambert’s disappearance and realizes that Lambert turned into a beast after drinking the strange water in the tunnel.
Henry finds dynamite to blow open the exit, but falls into a tunnel. He faces the beast and has the choice to fight or flee. If he fails, the beast flees. Henry’s fate is uncertain as he falls into a bomb crater with German soldiers nearby.
