New: Final Fantasy VII Takeover

Worlds collide in our new BR Takeover, with content that will be all too familiar to Final Fantasy VII fans. Harness the power of the Buster Sword R2R5, which has in-game abilities that can be picked up and used as a weapon during the takeover. Gain light and heavy attacks, block to reduce damage taken, dash to close the gap, and fill up your meter to use the classic Limit Break. The more damage you deal, take, and block, the faster your meter fills up. If you don’t find the popular Buster Sword R2R5 when it drops, keep an eye out for them in care packs and around the map.

When you’re looking for the ultimate weapon, look for material jumps to gain enhanced effects and/or bonuses. Each Materia Hop-Up has its own effects and can only be connected to the selected weapon, and can be spawned in world and campaign-limited Cactuar Ticks!

You can also use Gil to earn additional Battle Pass Stars to continue your season progress. Challenges refresh every day and you need to complete as many challenges as possible to get the full amount of Gil.

“Apex Legends” and “Final Fantasy 7 Reborn” collaboration event

In the upcoming “Apex Legends” and “Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth” crossover event starting on January 9, players can look forward to a three-week event. Revealed via a recent trailer, the collaboration introduces a unique limited-time mode called Final Fantasy Takeover.

This mode changes the game with cactus-themed loot ticks that provide material jumps for special buffs. Players can wield Cloud’s iconic Buster Sword, allowing them to deflect bullets, dash, and unleash extreme breaks.

The event also introduces a range of Final Fantasy-themed cosmetic skins and introduces the first-of-its-kind Buster Sword heirloom weapon, available to any Legend. It promises a dynamic fusion of the two game worlds for fans to enjoy.
