Asia Cup Winners List (1984 – 2025)

Asian Cup Champions List: The Asian Cup is the premier cricket championship established in 1984, aiming to promote goodwill in Asian countries. It features teams such as India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan, alternating between One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 (T20) formats.

India leads eight championships, winning in 1984, 1988, 1990, 1995, 2010, 2016, 2016 and 2023. Sri Lanka followed closely with six championships, winning in 1986, 1997, 2004, 2008, 2008, 2008, 2014 and 2022.

In the 2023 Asian Cup, co-hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka, India defeated Sri Lanka with 10 wickets in the final. The upcoming 2025 Asian Cup is scheduled to be held in T20 format, and the host country is yet to be confirmed.

Asian Cup: Which team is the most successful in the game?

The most successful team in the Asian Cup was India, winning eight Asian Cup titles in 1984, 1988, 1988, 1990/91, 1995, 2010, 2016, 2016, 2018 and 2023. The first edition of the Asian Cup Championship was held in 1984 in the United Arab Emirates, with the last season being 2023.

Asian Cricket Council Asian Cup is the men’s one-day international and Twenty20 international cricket championships. It was established in 1983 when the Asian Cricket Committee was established as a measure to promote goodwill among Asian countries.

The Asian Cup is the only mainland champion in cricket, and the winning team becomes the Asian champion. The competition alternates every two years between the ODI and T20I formats.
