They fought for peace and freedom, while their enemies, the Templars, wanted peace through control. This game is unlike some recent games in the series. It focuses more on a simple story and cunning gameplay than recent games with more role-playing elements.

Assassin’s Creed Phantom Observatory

In Assassin’s Creed Phantoms, there is an observation station in the northern part of the Abbasias district. This place is important because it helps you discover certain parts of the map, and you need to enter it to perform a side quest called “A Life’s Work.” But there’s a problem – the entrance is blocked.

Open the locked observatory door:

  1. As you approach the observatory, you’ll hear a scholar named Almahani asking for help. Talk to him.
  2. Mahaney is dying and needs your help to get his life’s work from the observatory. His work is divided into three parts, two of which are inside.
  3. The first section is on the lower level of the observation deck, but the door is blocked from the inside with no clear way out.
  4. To get inside, you need to break the beam blocking the door from the outside. Here’s how to do it:
  5. Take a walk around the observatory with Eagle Vision. You’ll notice that one of the windows is a bit high.
  6. Move the scaffolding closer to the wall and climb onto it. Then, use your throwing knife to break the window seal.
  7. Now you can return to the main entrance and enter. There you’ll find some lootable items as well as the first part of Al Mahani’s work.

To reach the top of the observation deck:

  1. There are sharp fences on the walls of the observatory, making it difficult to reach directly to the top.
  2. First use the wooden beam to reach the balcony above the locked door. move to the right.
  3. On the balcony you will see a movable bookshelf. Get it as close to the metal fence as possible and climb on top. This will help you reach the top of the observatory.
  4. There you’ll find the second part of Al Mahani’s work on a table in front of a large globe.

Look for part three:

  1. The third section is on the terrace to the left of the locked door, near some scholars. It’s out in the open, but as you get closer, the wind blows it away.
  2. Take a quick look at the page and you’ll see it lands on another patio nearby. Interact with it to get the final piece.
  3. If you can’t find it, use Eagle Vision, which will highlight it in bright yellow.

Complete your “life’s work”:

  1. After completing all three sections, return to Al-Mahani. Sadly, by the time you get these pages, he will have passed away.
  2. Mahaney’s son will also be there, grieving his father’s death. Talk to him and Basim will explain what happened.
  3. Mahaney’s son would ask his father if he valued his job more than their relationship. Your answer will affect his reaction, but won’t change the outcome of the mission much.
  4. This completes the “Life’s Work” side quest and gives you a skill point as a reward.

Assassin’s Creed Phantoms gameplay

Assassin’s Creed Phantoms delivers an action-packed stealth gaming experience. It’s designed to remind players of older Assassin’s Creed games, with a greater focus on a linear and story-driven approach and less complex role-playing elements. Key elements of the game include parkour, close combat, and cunning tactics.

When it comes to assassination missions, the game adopts a “black box” design, where players need to explore the environment and find creative ways to eliminate the target. The game is mainly set in Baghdad and is divided into different areas, including the famous Round City and the House of Wisdom. Unlike recent games in the series, Baghdad is smaller and more like the cities in earlier games. Players control the protagonist Basin, who possesses a variety of weapons and tools such as hidden swords, smoke bombs, and poison darts. These can be upgraded through the skill tree.

Basim also has a companion eagle named Enkidu who serves as a scout, but be careful, enemy archers can spot and attack Enkidu. A new ability called Assassin Focus lets players take out multiple enemies at once, and it recharges when you perform stealth assassinations. Additionally, Baghdad has pillars to help you cross wide gaps, and the game’s movements and animations have been improved for a smoother experience, drawing inspiration from various samurai styles such as samurai and ninja.

With the help of a Hidden named Roshan, he escaped to their mountain fortress of Alamut, where he trained and eventually became a Hidden. Sent to Baghdad to investigate the group’s growing influence, Basim discovers that the secretive organization is trying to uncover ancient artifacts.
