Bass, best known for his third studio album, Galaxy, is gearing up for a North American tour in 2024. The tour is set to take place from March 3 to April 9, 2024, across the United States and Canada. This is in promotion of his latest album, We Only Talk About Real Sht When We’re Fcked Up, which is set to be released on December 15, 2023.

Bass, whose full name is Abbas Hamad, is a Sudanese-American rapper better known by his stage name “Bas”. He was born on May 27, 1987 in Paris, France to Sudanese parents. At the age of 8, Bass and his family moved to New York City, where he attended St. Francis Preparatory School in Queens.
He entered the hip-hop scene and gained recognition through his work with J. Cole’s Dreamville Records, and was signed to the label through Interscope Records. Early life
Bass was born in Paris, France in 1987 to Sudanese parents. He moved to New York City with his family when he was 8 years old and attended St. Francis Preparatory School in Queens. Growing up in New York’s vibrant cultural atmosphere, Bass developed an interest in music at an early age.

His journey into hip-hop music began with the release of his debut mixtape, “Quarter Water Raised Vol. 1” in 2011, followed by “Quarter Water Raised Vol. 2” in 2013. These mixtapes marked the beginning of his career and laid the foundation for his future collaborations and success in the industry.

In 2013, Bass’ career took a major turn when he was featured in J. Cole’s New York Times and DJ Khaled’s Hell’s Kitchen. This exposure led to his inclusion on the Dreamville compilation mixtape, Revenge of the Dreamers. The mixtape celebrated Dreamville’s partnership with Interscope Records, which ultimately led to Bass signing with Interscope.
