The BCCI Central Contract is the annual agreement between the Indian Cricket Control Council (BCCI) and Indian cricketers. It divides players into different results based on their performance, consistency and contribution to the national team.
These contracts provide financial security to participants through annual retention fees, including competition fees, bonuses and other benefits.
A complete list of players in the BCCI Central Contract for the 2024-25 season:
Shryas Iyer was awarded a Class B BCCI Central Contract after being discarded last season after being subjected to IPL’s commitments for allegedly neglecting domestic cricket commitments.
Wicketkeeper-Batter Ishan Kishan, who faced similar exclusion, also made a comeback, receiving a C-class contract worth Rs 1 crore every year. In a significant shift, Rishabh Pant has promoted it to Class A, directing the annual fixture of Rs 5 crore.
He was relegated to Class B last season and effectively replaced retired Ravichandran Ashwin as he recovered from a life-threatening accident, a promotion that took place after last season’s promotion.
The C-Class category has been greatly expanded and now covers 19 players with four new faces: Harshit Rana, Varun Chakravarthy, Abhishek Sharma and Nitish Kumar Reddy.
