Better Call Saul Season 1
Better Call Saul premiered its first season on February 8, 2015 and concluded on April 6, 2015. It is a spinoff of Breaking Bad created by Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould. At the end of Better Call Saul Season 1, Jimmy McGill faces a series of challenges. Although Jimmy is loyal to his successful brother Chuck, who suffers from electromagnetic hypersensitivity, he realizes that Chuck orchestrated his rejection from the law firm Hamlin, Hamlin, & McGill. Jimmy feels betrayed and hands the Sandpiper case to HHM, marking a turning point. He also ends his caregiving for Chuck, which causes him to fall into sobering self-reflection.
The season finale, “Marco,” tells the story of Jimmy’s return to his scam career after the death of his friend Marco. When HHM, in partnership with another law firm, Davis & Main, offers Jimmy a job, he hesitates because he is troubled by Chuck’s opinion of him. The season ends with Jimmy considering his future and leaving the law firm without meeting with it. This sets the stage for Jimmy’s transformation into the accomplished attorney Saul Goodman.
