Similar to the TV show, the concept of Bigg Boss OTT revolves around a group of contestants called Housemates who are confined inside the Bigg Boss House. They are constantly monitored by cameras and microphones. The ultimate winner of Bigg Boss OTT will receive a cash prize of Rs 25 lakh along with the prestigious ‘OTT Edition’ trophy. The show operates in a 24/7 format to provide non-stop entertainment and drama to the viewers. In a recent Sunday episode of Bigg Boss OTT Season 2, Palak Purswani faced elimination. Despite host Salman Khan’s efforts to prolong the eviction process, she eventually announced her departure. Apart from Palak, Avinash Sachdeva, Jiya Shankar and Bebika were also nominated for eviction during the week.

Jiya Shankar went through a harrowing experience during the intense nomination task of Bigg Boss OTT Season 2. Avinash Sachdev took a surprising step by nominating Gia, accusing her of neglecting their friendship in favor of Palak Purswani’s company. Avinash claimed that Jia had forgotten about him and Falak Naz and was spending most of her time with Palak. He went on to label Gia an “opportunist” who was unable to face the truth and lacked trust in her friends.
In response, Gia decides to take revenge by nominating Avinash. She expressed deep disappointment and stressed that their previously strong bond had been destroyed by Avinash’s actions. However, after this confrontation, Jia became emotional, suddenly panicked and shed tears.
Despite the efforts of Abhishek Malhan, Manisha Rani, Bebika Dhurve, Akanksha Puri and Aaliya Siddiqui to console her, Jiya struggled to regain control of her emotions. She repeatedly begged the big boss to allow her to leave the activity area, saying she had difficulty breathing, “I can’t breathe.”
As the nomination task came to an end, the door to the activity area opened. Jiya burst into tears and rushed to the bathroom. Akanksha Puri, Jad, Abhishek, Manisha and Aaliya followed behind her to provide comfort and support during this challenging time. Gia later confided in Akanksha Puri and Jade Hadid, expressing her surprise and disappointment at Avinash’s betrayal and nomination. Jia admits her mistake of trusting Avinash.

After completing her education, Palak earned a degree in fashion design from the International Institute of Fashion Design.
