Melinda works the graveyard shift as an attendant. Being a loner, she silently agreed to her colleague Sheila’s request to clean the toilet, not wanting to cause any trouble. During a break, she gingerly scrolled through her phone, poring over photos she’d secretly taken of a police officer who fascinated her.

Sheila has been the instigator, forcing Melinda to show off some dance moves and shamelessly filming her against her will. The air was thick with discomfort. An older customer handed Sheila a pair of insoles, an innocent gesture to ease the discomfort in her feet after a long night. However, Sheila’s uneasiness reveals a deeper understanding of her persistent customer. Unbeknownst to Sheila, the insoles fit Melinda perfectly, creating an unexpected connection in the tense atmosphere.

Suddenly, a man named Billy parks his stolen car outside the store and walks inside, holding a concealed handgun. Officer Liu arrived at the scene and had a casual conversation with Melinda. As Liu bought coffee, Melinda took the opportunity to carefully take a photo of him. Melinda’s phone slipped from her hand as Sheila grabbed it, the screen shattering from the impact.
