Parvesh Verma was born on November 7, 1977 and is an Indian politician belonging to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He was born in the late Delhi Chief Minister Sahib Singh Verma. Parvesh Verma has had a successful career in the political arena, winning both in the Legislative Assembly of Delhi and Lok Sabha. Recently, Verma defeated Arvind Kejriwal of the New Delhi Parliamentary Constituency in the 2025 election. After this victory, he was elected as Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi and was sworn in on February 20, 2025.

Early life and education
Parvesh Verma was born in the Hindu Jat family. He studied at the Delhi Public School in RK Puram. He then went to Kirori Mal College at the University of Delhi where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree. Verma continued to study further and received her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from FARE School. Vilma’s political family is very active. His uncle Azad Singh is the mayor of the North Delhi Municipal Corporation and ran the BJP vote from the Mundka constituency in 2013. Parvesh married Swati Singh, daughter of Vikram Verma, former Union Minister and leader of BJP Madhya Pradesh.

Political career
Verma has joined political life from her role in the Delhi BJP Election Commission in 2013. Although he is eager to fight the 2009 Lok Sabha election in West Delhi, he has not yet obtained a vote.

In 2013, Verma participated in the Delhi parliamentary elections from the Mehrauli constituency. He won the victory of Yoganand Shastri, the spokesman for Delhi Vidhan Sabha, while Narinder Singh Sejwal (AAP) of the Am Aadmi Party (AAP).
He was elected as Lok Sabha from the West Delhi constituency in 2014. He won his second term in 2019 with more than 500,000 votes. As a member of Congress, he is a member of the Joint Committee on Congress and a member of the Standing Committee on Urban Development.
Verma defeated Arvind Kejriwal in the New Delhi constituency and won in the 2025 Delhi parliamentary elections. This victory made him the leader of the Chief Minister.
In the months of the polls to 2025, Velma began a campaign against the AAP government, pointing out the promise of pollution, women’s safety and cleaning the Yamuna River. His campaign “Delete Kejirivar, Save the Country”, voters clicked.

Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi
After his major victory, Parvesh Verma was elected Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi. He was sworn in at a grand ceremony on February 20, 2025. As Deputy CM, his main focus is expected to be on governance reform, infrastructure development and addressing issues of public concern such as pollution control, law and order, and urban planning. His leadership and policy decisions will play a crucial role in shaping the future of Delhi.
