In Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train, the story unfolds as Tanjiro Kamado, his demon sister Nezuko, and his fellow Demon Slayers Zenitsu and Inosuke board the Mugen Train.
Their mission is to assist the Flame Pillar, Burning Lang, in hunting down a demon responsible for the mysterious disappearance of 40 people. However, their journey takes a dangerous turn when Enmu, a lower-ranking of the Twelve Demon Moons, infiltrates their dreams in an attempt to destroy their spiritual cores. Through a series of emotional and idealistic dreams, Tanjiro and his companions must traverse surreal landscapes, battle their inner demons, and confront their deepest desires.
When the Demon Slayers awaken from their dream, they are faced with the wrath of the very passengers who were promised a safe sleep. Guided by Nezuko’s blood demon arts, Tanjiro thwarts the attackers and confronts Yanyue atop the train.
