Destiny 2

Destiny 2 is a free online shooting game produced by Bungie. Initially, starting in 2017, you had to pay to play the game on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows. But it became free in October 2019. You can also play on Stadia, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. In the game, you are a guardian who uses special powers to protect the last city on Earth. You fight against alien races and fight against the forces of darkness to save humanity. The game is a mix of cooperative and competitive modes. It also updates with new stories and features, some free but others requiring purchase.

Activity

iron flag

  • Players now have the opportunity to earn the Iron Banner Mark at the end of each Iron Banner match. Victory has a higher drop chance.

Trials of Osiris

  • Slightly tweaked the burnout spawn area.

Competitive

  • The Vermilion Defender Badge can now be reearned from collections.

crucible

  • Fixed several out-of-bounds spots in Multiplex maps.
  • Fixed an issue where players could spawn under the map during separation.

Raid and Dungeons

  • Crota’s end loot pool has been modified to make the distribution of armor pieces more balanced.
    • This change only affects armor. Weapon drops are the same as before.
    • Here’s the new loot pool for each encounter:
      • Abyss: Helm, Gloves and Breastplate
      • Oversoul Throne Bridge: Gauntlets, Breastplate, Legguards
      • Ir Yut: Breastplate, Legplates and Class Items
      • Crota, Son of the Oryx: leg armor, class items, and helmet
  • Eidolon allies can now be reacquired from the collection with the correct purchase requirements.
  • Fixed conquest victory loot to only require players to find two hidden chests.
    • The third box was never found.

  • Reduced the number and frequency of combatants in certain higher difficulty level encounters.

Gameplay and investing

armor

  • Fixed an issue where the Astrocytic Verse was applying volatile debuffs to unexpected objects.
  • Fixed an issue where having too many perks activated at the same time could leave players stuck.

  • Fixed an issue where shotgun damage fell off more than expected when aiming down.
  • Fixed an issue where special ammo could be spawned by quickly swapping weapons.
  • Fixed an issue where Necrorift’s Cursed Thrall Arc explosion was dealing less damage to combatants than intended.
  • Updated Necron Rift Catalyst description to reflect required requirements.
    • The Catalyst is unlocked after obtaining 35 Oversoul Essences, without having to defeat any combatants.

  • Wave Walker
    • Arc Soul and Flawless Interpretation Drones deal reduced damage when the player is in the Weaving Gait.
    • Any perched worms deployed while the player is on the Weaving Trail will deal less damage.
    • Players can no longer dunk Spark in Weavewalk.
      • The damage resistance provided by Weavewalk is reduced when carrying a spark.

Man-made production

  • Fixed Monochromatic Maestro not working with Strand.
  • Fixed an issue where Elemental Ammo when combined with the Whirlpool Coast Hunter would provide more Special Ammo and Heavy Ammo than intended.

Bounties and Pursuits

  • Fixed an issue with the Energetic Crucible bounty not progressing on energy weapon kills.
  • Fixed an issue where the description for the Ritual Violence seasonal challenge called for combatant kills from the Season of the Witch event instead of the Ritual playlist.

User interface and user experience

  • Fixed an issue where featured quest tiles had higher-than-expected cursor friction.
  • The description for Savathun Spire now correctly reflects its two difficulty options.

General

  • Season Passes will now correctly reflect the Season Pass ownership status of Level 71 rewards.
  • The Dance Off emote now properly reflects its attached effect when viewed in Eververse.

Destiny 2 gameplay

Destiny 2 is a first-person shooter in which players (called Guardians) advance their characters through experience points and classes. There are three classes: Warlock, Hunter, and Titan, each with unique abilities.

The game offers player versus environment (PvE) and player versus player (PvP) modes. In PvE, players explore different planets, complete missions, and participate in various activities to obtain equipment and increase their power level. In PvP, players participate in battles and special events to strive for victory and rewards.
