Disney Treasure’s Best New Movie (And Attraction) Themed Lounges, Ranked: From Skipper Society To Haunted Mansion Parlor

Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship makes its maiden voyage on December 21, and Disney Treasure has a host of new adventure-oriented locations and activities. From the moment passengers enter the Aladdin-themed lobby, it’s clear they’re about to be taken on the ocean’s version of a magic carpet ride, and beverage options are no small part of that experience. Either Haunted Mansion Parlor or Skipper Society (named after the attraction and the movie) jungle cruise), the ship’s lounges offer the opportunity to enter a completely new world.

Each lounge is intricately designed to evoke a particular Disney movie or park attraction (often a two-in-one situation), with unique drinks that capture the spirit of that adventurous corner of the world. Naturally, some favorites from previous ships return with a vengeance, such as the Beauty and the beast-nightclub inspired by The Rose, from Disney Wish, or the Cove Café, which can be found on 6 of the 8 DCL ships. But there are also 5 rooms that are currently exclusive to the Disney Treasury, and one even incorporates material from the beloved but abandoned 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

5 Captains Society

This Jungle Cruise-inspired lounge is more relaxing than you might expect.

Near

Despite being a sister ship to the Disney Wish, the Disney Treasure trades first. The princess and the frogstyle salon, The Bayou, for the Jungle Cruise-Thematic Pattern Society. Located near the lobby, Skipper Society has hints of the iconic Disney attraction throughout its design, from luggage tags to postcards recounting past adventures.

The lounge’s colors, textures, and even the music echo both versions of the Jungle Cruise attraction, and there’s no shortage of pattern-inspired puns scattered throughout.

The drinks follow similar themes, focusing on the exotic excitement associated with the journey, making it a perfect match for the Disney cruise. The main reasons it ranks last are simply that there weren’t many events held here during my 3-day trip, and no drink flavors or designs caught my eye. But the Hippopotomai-Tai gets 10/10 for its title, and the Bayab and Campari gin are a good combination. More than anything, Skipper Society is a great place to relax and chat with friends (or listen to yourself).

4 sarabi

Sarabi, inspired by the African savanna, is the perfect place to catch a live show.

Near

mufase hitting theaters on December 20 makes it the perfect time to debut a salon honoring Simba’s mother, and this The Lion KingThe themed location is certainly worthy of its name. It’s also larger than most other lounges, with seating on two terraces and a two-story LED screen making it a perfect entertainment venue.

And it certainly is, as exemplified in “Choose Wisely! An Indiana Jones Comedy Adventure,” where comedy duo Coriander and Sage run through highlights of the five Indiana Jones movies before a jazz singer takes the stage at the Sarabi Supper Club. Events like these can be enjoyed while having a refreshing drink, alcoholic or not. Speaking of drinks, my personal recommendation is Pride Sunset (containing Sango Agave, Passion Orange Guava and Pama Pomegranate).

3 Periscope Pub

This room recovers a lost artifact from Walt Disney World.

Near

Since Disney World’s Magic Kingdom closed its 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea attraction in 1994, it may be surprising that Disney Treasure chose that attraction to inspire one of its new lounges. But I’m personally grateful that it was because Periscope Pub is absolutely magnificent. The blue and gold color scheme is appropriate for seafaring, with a window overlooking the vast ocean (not to mention an aquarium screen on the ceiling that uses real-time images captured from the ocean) reminiscent of the adventures of Captain Nemo aboard the Nautilus.

The devil is in the details at Periscope Pub, which is filled with Easter eggs that evoke not only the beloved Disney attraction and the 1954 film, but also other ships in the Cruise Line fleet.

Eagle-eyed observers can find Treasure’s hull number (as well as that of her sister ship, the Wish) etched into various artistic decorations throughout the pub. Even the liquor dispensers have underwater designs, which help immerse visitors while they order their drinks and perhaps watch some sporting events. Speaking of drinks, I can’t say enough about the Outis Daiquiri (with SelvaRey white rum, Luxardo Maraschino, lime and grapefruit).

2 Scat Cat Lounge

This place is full of drinks and vibes.

The aristocats It may not be the first movie that comes to mind when someone says “adventure,” but the drinks at Scat Cat Lounge absolutely fall into that category. Jam-inspired drinks are my personal favorites, from the sweet and spicy Strawberry Jam option with Tanqueray Ten and a literal jar of jam to the Grape Jam flavor that combines Skrewball Peanut Butter whiskey with a literal PB&J sandwich.

The atmosphere of the bar combines perfectly with the feline decoration reminiscent of The aristocats with the aladdin-Lobby style color palette. Scat Cat Lounge also hosts a number of performances, thanks to the paw print-filled grand piano in the center. Jazz renditions of your favorite Disney songs will percolate while your head spins from having to try. each Exciting drink offered on the menu. Meanwhile, for those looking to give up alcohol, the Zero Proof Parisian is made up of Brunswick Aces Spades, Raspberry, Lemon and Agave.

1 Hall of the Haunted Mansion

The grand prize for Disney Treasure Lounge Excellence goes to none other than the Haunted Mansion Parlor, which is like a mini trip to the 1969 version of the Disneyland attraction all on its own, right down to Donald Duck’s chair. The moody atmosphere begins from the moment your eyes meet the Tomb Sweet Tomb sign at the entrance, and periodic appearances of friendly ghosts amidst the dark, gloomy lighting complete the immersion.

Be sure to check out every painting, mirror, and fish tank for a unique and haunting experience.

While the drinks may not be quite As adventurous as those at Scat Cat Lounge, there are some really interesting ones to visit. Scratch-proof Sympathetic Libations comes with its own secret message that materializes upon arrival, while spiritless Ghostly Retreat (a sweet grenadine concoction) offers eye gummies for your chewing pleasure and a souvenir glow cube to thank you. for the memories. The best thing about Haunted Mansion Parlor is that we guarantee you’ll have a different experience every time you come, depending on where you sit and when you look around.
