As with many multiplayer and even single-player games, additional accounts are often required to access features and extras. But does The First Descendant require a NEXON account? Does The First Descendant require a NEXON account?
You do not need a NEXON account to play The First Descendant, but cross-platform progression and Twitch drops do require a NEXON account.

A NEXON account is also not required if you want to use the game’s cross-platform play feature. An account is required for cross-platform save/progression and access to Twitch drops.
How to link your Nexon account with The First Descendant
Linking your accounts is very simple. From the game settings, go to the last tab “Account” and select the “Link” button next to “Link Account”.

This will open another screen with a “Link Nexon Account” button that will open a link in an external browser with login details and instructions for linking your account.
Alternatively, you can simply visit the NEXON login page to link your account. Once you have created your NEXON account, go to Settings, then Link Accounts, then Link/Unlink Accounts under External Connections.
First Descendants Twitch Drops
Twitch Drops for the game are also live, and you will need to link your NEXON account to Twitch. You can link your account directly from this page and earn the following Drops by watching live streams for a certain length of time.

While linking The First Descendant to your NEXON account does have some benefits, if you’re not interested in cross-save or the aforementioned Twitch drops, you can continue to play with your regular account.
