- Kidder has an impressive resume that includes stints as a stunt double in notable films such as Timothy Dalton’s The Living Daylights, Roger Moore and Michael Caine’s Bullseye!, and Pierce Brosnan’s GoldenEye.
- Notably, Kidd performed a daring motorcycle stunt in the 1979 film Hanover Street, acting as a double for Harrison Ford, jumping over a 120-foot-long railway cut in Shepton Mallet, Somerset, at 90 miles per hour.
- He played stunt motorcyclist Dave Munday in the 1981 film Riding High, a character who rode his motorcycle across an 80-foot gap on a disused viaduct over the River Blackwater in Essex.
- In 1993, Kidd achieved another milestone by riding a motorcycle across the Great Wall of China.
- Despite completing more than 12,000 jumps in his career, Kidd did not receive his British motorcycle license until 1995.
- Kidd shared his experiences of life after the accident in Russell Brand’s 2002 television documentary series RE:Brand.
- In 2007, Kidd once again drove a motorcycle to officially open the Beyond Boundaries Live 2007 exhibition at Escher’s Sandown Park.
- On 17 July 2012, Kidd had the honour of being the torchbearer during the Olympic Torch Relay in Lewes, East Sussex.
- To demonstrate his tenacity, Kidd ran the 2011 London Marathon on April 17, abandoning his wheelchair at the start and walking the entire race. On June 6, 2011, he completed the marathon and said he planned to run another marathon in two years.
