Escape From Tarkov Patch Adds Halloween Event

Escape from Tarkov patch adds Halloween event

A new update for Escape from Tarkov has been released, and while it’s not a massive update, it fixes some annoying bugs in the game. Additionally, it introduces a Halloween event where pumpkins are scattered across the map and even on the heads of scavenger characters.

The update is currently being applied to game servers and is expected to take approximately four hours. This means the game should be up and running again around noon BST (British Summer Time) or 7am ET (Eastern Time).

One of the most noteworthy changes in this update are improvements to Scav AI (artificial intelligence). Scavengers have always been a topic of debate in Tarkov, as they are either too good at shooting players, or conversely, not challenging enough to beat. However, there is a common perception that their actions and decisions often appear lacking. This update aims to make their behavior more natural and responsive.

In addition to the AI improvements, there are some unmentioned changes being applied to various in-game maps. These changes include fixes for issues related to map geometry, colliders, foliage, and lighting. If you’ve encountered strange scenery or unexpected gaps while exploring Tarkov, some of these issues should now be resolved. It’s also possible that these changes involve adjustments to some of the trees players can climb, as some of them were left out in previous updates.

Some of the fixes in this new patch are listed below.

Major fixes

● Technical improvements and fixes to AI Scavs;

● Fixed multiple geometry, collision, foliage and lighting issues at different locations;

Other fixes

● Fixed a bug that sometimes caused hit registration issues for crouching players;

Fixed several bugs causing inventory freezes and locked weapon operations, such as:

● When multiple players use an item in the same container at the same time;

● When unloading an SKS carbine with a detachable magazine;

● When trying to fix a misfire issue on SVDS or MP9 by reloading;

● The NcSTAR MPR45 backup bracket can now be installed on the Daniel Defense RIS II FSP 9.5 handguard;

● Fixed a bug that prevented players from leaving the Scav item transfer screen if they had previously transferred any items from the stash to the sort table;

● Fixed stretching BEAR patch on BEAR Zaslon jacket.

Escape from Tarkov

Escape from Tarkov is a video game in which you play as a soldier in a fictional place in Russia. In this game, a war breaks out between two groups of private military companies: USEC and BEAR. You’ll encounter something called a “raid,” which is like a mission. In these raids, you must fight other players and computer-controlled enemies to find valuable items and make it out alive.

The core of the game is to survive and escape from these dangerous situations. You have to be careful because there are other players who want the same loot as you. It’s like a battle for treasure in a war zone.

Escape from Tarkov gameplay

Escape from Tarkov is a tough video game that combines elements of shooting, survival, and online gaming. It has three modes: Online PMC Raid, Scav Raid and Offline Mode. In these raids, you can play alone or team up with others, starting from different sides of the map.

Your goal is to reach the opposite extraction point while fighting other players and computer-controlled characters. You can also use different extraction points, but certain conditions must be met. You can find weapons, equipment, and armor during missions. When you succeed, you can keep what you find or sell it to other players.

The game’s display is simple, with not much information on the screen. If you die during a raid, you lose everything, but you can insure your items for a chance of getting them back. Scav raids will give you random gear and require a while before you can play again. Raid lasts from 15 to 45 minutes and can have up to 14 players.

Outside of raids, you can trade and upgrade your hideout, an underground shelter that provides in-game benefits such as reduced wait times and crafting capabilities. Completing merchant missions also unlocks more items and challenges.
