F1 23 Baku settings
Baku is a challenging circuit with long straights and tight corners. Finding the right settings can be tricky, but with the following tips, you can maximize your performance and speed on this track.
aerodynamics:
To achieve a high top speed, it is best to operate at minimum wing level. For Baku, a setup with a front and rear wing angle of 16-12 would provide enough front-end grip and rear stability entering corners, thus providing better traction and power delivery.
spread:
In F1 23, an unlocked differential setting is generally favored. However, for Baku it is recommended to adjust the on and off throttle differential settings to 60% and 53% respectively. This will enhance traction and power when cornering and improve rear stability when back on the gas.
Suspension geometry:
Baku’s suspension geometry remains the same as the previous setup. Set the front camber to -2.50 and the rear camber to -1.00. The toe values should be 0.00 (front toe) and 0.10 (rear toe). There is no need for these values to change significantly.
pause:
Suspension setup provides the foundation for a car’s overall performance. In the F1 23, there are more adjustable options. For Baku, it is recommended to set the suspension value to 28-14 and the anti-roll bar to 17-8. This stiffer front end will promote better spin into slower corners in the middle of the track. Keep the ride height as low as 30-30, but be careful around curbs to avoid floor damage while gaining extra straight-line speed.
brake:
Braking power is crucial given Baku’s numerous strong braking zones. Set brake pressure to 100% and brake bias to 57%. If you’re willing to adjust mid-lap, consider using 58% brake bias in heavier braking areas (like Turns 1 and 3) and 56% in smaller braking areas. However, be aware of the risk of wheel lock when deviating from the recommended 57% deviation, as it tends to work well in F1 23.
tire:
The Pirelli tire setup in the F1 23 is similar to the previous version. For Baku, use the minimum value
Allowable pressure: 22.0 PSI for front tires, 20.0 PSI for rear tires.
Adjustment:
If you’re an intermediate player who uses assists like traction control and ABS, the above setup should suit you. However, if you want to fine-tune your settings for extra advantages, consider the following adjustments:
-
Click to lower the wing height 1-3 times to increase top speed. Keep in mind that this may reduce steering ability and stability during high-speed direction changes.
-
If the car doesn’t react well entering a corner, raise the front wings a moment or two.
-
To enhance stability at low speeds, adjust the off-throttle differential to 53/54.
-
For a more responsive car, stiffen the front suspension and anti-roll bars, but be aware that this may make towing more challenging.
-
Adjust brake bias as needed within a lap. Moving forward will enhance performance in heavy braking areas, while moving rearward will benefit light braking areas.
-
Locking is easier to achieve in the F1 23, especially rear locking, so be careful when braking. Front locking is less severe, and adjusting the brake bias can increase the likelihood of locking in certain directions.
-
Added tire pressure click for shorter online races to improve tire warm-up.
By taking advantage of these settings and adjustments, you can optimize your performance in Baku and increase your chances of success
