Fortnite update 1.000.121 patch notes

Epic Games has released Fortnite update 1.000.121. There are some changes to how the game runs on all devices. You can find details about what’s different in the game in Fortnite’s patch notes.

Fortnite Battle Royale

Movement improvements

Movement speed increased while crouching and running. We’ve also reduced camera movement and adjusted view changes while sprinting to provide a smoother experience. Additionally, we’ve updated the movement animation to better match speed adjustments. To help you adjust to these updates, we’ve reset everyone’s Custom Diagonal Movement settings, so please log in and reconfigure your settings for optimal results.

Medal readability

Guild medal icons are now more prominent on the map and should be easier to spot at a glance. We’ve also reduced the visual noise that appears in the minimap when multiple medal areas are close to each other, especially in later storm circles.

night visibility

We brightened up some areas of the map that were a little too dark at night.

storm visibility

Visibility has been improved at the edge of the storm so it’s clearer how close it is, and as we’ve heard from the community, it can be difficult to see.

weapon icon

We’re aware of feedback that the Crazy Auto Shotgun and Thunder Burst SMG weapon icons are too similar, making it difficult to tell them apart. The icons have been updated to be more visually distinctive and clear.

Recent balance changes

Last week, we also released a number of balance changes for Battle Royale. This is a review!

  • Flowerberry now provides more shields.
  • Increased damage of Ranger Pistol, Shield Breaking EMP and Ballistic Shield Pistol.
  • Snowball launcher magazine size reduced.
  • Thunder Burst SMG magazine size increased.
  • Reduced the drop rate of the Reaper Sniper Rifle.
  • The Striker AR does less damage.
  • The circles indicating holders of association medals are smaller.
  • Guild Medals now have a short delay before shield regeneration begins. They also have a slightly reduced regeneration rate, and no longer fill 100% shields (unless you have all five shields).

lego fortress

hungry? More filling snacks!

We heard feedback that food in LEGO Fortnite wasn’t great at reducing hunger, so we made adjustments to make your snacks more filling!

Eat and eliminate at the same time

We fixed a bug that could cause you to lose items after being eliminated in the transition between above and below ground. Thank you for your patience while we deal with this issue – we know it’s frustrating to lose your items (we’ve lost ours, too!).

in case you missed it

ICYMI, last week we made the following changes ahead of today’s update:

Durability

  • The durability of non-rare/non-epic tools and weapons has been increased by 30%. For rare/epic tools and weapons, durability increased by 60%!

damage

  • Reduced damage from Beast Poison zones for all three beasts.
  • Reduced damage from Frost Scorpion explosions.

Changes in small animals

  • Sand scorpions, cave scorpions, common scorpions, shoreline crabs, sand spiders, and mountain frost spiders are slightly easier to defeat.
  • Rams now provide heavy wool.

Other tweaks and improvements

  • Grapplers can now carry 30 charges.
  • Spiders won’t scare you very often when turning over rocks.

rocket racing

Long queue time

We’ve heard feedback that high-ranked racers are experiencing long queues in Rocket Racing, and our team is working hard to make incremental improvements to help you get into races faster. We will continue to monitor queue times and make adjustments if necessary.

car collision

Car-to-car collisions have always been a major topic of concern for players, especially when a collision from behind causes your car to spin 180 degrees. Today’s update will make these collisions a little less punishing and should help get your car facing the finish line. We will also continue to work on collision improvements in future updates.

Jackie Costume Mission

Reaching Gold level in the Rocket Racing mission to unlock the Jackie costume is a reward for players who have reached Gold II instead of Gold I. We’ve patched this so that racers who reach Gold I now only need to complete one full race to complete the mission and earn the Jackie costume.

fort festival

Missing song library

We fixed a bug that resulted in players seeing an empty song library in the main stage after pausing Fortnite on their device. This should also improve the pause some players experience before a song starts.

Fall damage disabled

Fall damage on the main stage backstage has been disabled. Rockstars, jump off all the balconies you want!

restart song

We’ve temporarily disabled the “Restart Song” feature (available for single-player players) while we fixed a bug that caused the game to become unresponsive.

Leaderboard posted incorrectly

We fixed an issue where some scores could be posted to the wrong leaderboard. We will continue to monitor (and potentially review) the development of the leaderboard to ensure its accuracy.

Improvements in Fortnite update 1.000.121

In the latest Fortnite update, things are getting smoother and clearer! They increase your movement speed while crouching or running, making the game feel smoother. They’ve also fixed the way the camera moves to make it easier to see while sprinting. At night, some of the darker areas on the map become lighter, making it easier to find your way around.

They also made some changes to weapons and items to make them better to use. For example, they made sure that certain guns’ special icons weren’t too similar, so it was easier to tell them apart. Additionally, they’ve adjusted the amount of shields you get from certain things and made snacks more substantial in LEGO Fortnite World. If you like Rocket Racing, they’re working on making high-ranked racers faster and fixing some bugs to make the game run smoother.

fortnite

Fortnite is a popular free-to-play video game developed and published by Epic Games. It’s a battle royale game where 100 players parachute onto an island, scavenge for weapons, and fight until only one player or team remains. The game was first released in 2017 and quickly became a hit. What makes Fortnite unique is its architectural aspect. Players can collect materials from the environment and use them to build walls, ramps, and structures to gain defensive or tactical advantage.

The game also introduces new content and activities each season to keep players fresh and excited. Fortnite has a huge following and is known not only for its gameplay but also for its impact on pop culture, with celebrities and social media contributing to its popularity.

“Fortnite” gameplay

Fortnite gameplay revolves around a battle royale mode where up to 100 players parachute onto an island, scavenge for weapons and gear, and fight to be the last person or team to survive. Players can choose to play alone or team up with friends. The game begins with all players parachuting from a flying “battle bus” and gliding to a portion of the island. There are various named locations on the island, such as “Lazy Lake” and “Retail Row”, which are often abandoned during games. In order to find weapons and supplies, players must search chests scattered around buildings and other locations.

The main goal in Fortnite is to outlast your opponents, whether that’s by destroying them or evading them. In single player mode, when a player’s health points are depleted, they are eliminated. In squad mode, downed players can be revived by teammates, but if they are knocked out, they are out of the match. As the game progresses, a shrinking safe area called a “storm” forces players into tighter spaces, leading to more encounters.

Random supplies in the form of loot boxes can provide powerful weapons and items to those who find them. One of Fortnite’s unique features is its building system, which allows players to create structures such as walls, ramps, and roofs from collected materials for advantage or protection. Chapter 4 OG Season refers to a special season in Fortnite. It brings back the original Chapter One map, giving players a nostalgic trip into the early days of the game. This return was due to a time travel accident involving Cardo Thrawn’s time machine.

During this season, the map cycles through different seasons from Chapter 1 every five days until the end of Chapter 4. Additionally, several iconic costumes from Chapter 1, such as the Cuddle Team Leader, Love Ranger, Ragnarok, Lynx, and Peely, are getting remixed versions. This unique chapter provides players with the opportunity to experience the history of Fortnite and relive memories of the past in-game.
