The Fox and the Hound is a 1981 American animated film produced by Walt Disney Productions and loosely based on the 1967 novel of the same name by Daniel P. Mannix. Walt Disney Productions acquired the film rights to the novel in 1967, but active development did not begin until 1977. The film saw the transition from Disney’s old cast of animators to a new generation of animators, including future directors such as Tim Burton, Brad Bird, and John Lasseter .
After delays due to the departure of some animators, the film was released on July 10, 1981. The plot synopsis of The Fox and the Hound·······
After a young red fox named Todd becomes an orphan, he is adopted by a kind-hearted farmer named Widow Tweed with the help of Big Mama Owl, Tintin the Finch, and Boomer the Woodpecker. At the same time, a hound named Cooper was brought home by hunter Amos Slade and became best friends with Todd. Despite the warnings from their animal friends, Todd and Cooper remain confident that their friendship will last forever.

As they grew older, Copper became a professional hunting dog and Todd came to visit him in the evenings. One night, their play accidentally awakens Amos’s old hound chief.
