Genshin Impact
Genshin Impact is an action role-playing game developed and published by miHoYo, which originally debuted in 2020 on Android, iOS, PlayStation 4, and Windows platforms. Subsequent releases include the PlayStation 5 in 2021, with plans for a Nintendo Switch release. The game features a vast open-world environment with an anime-style aesthetic and dynamic combat mechanics centered around elemental magic and character switching. Genshin Impact follows a free-to-play model with gacha game mechanics and is continuously expanded through patches in a games-as-a-service framework.
Set in the fantasy kingdom of Teyvat, “Genshin Impact” introduces players to a universe composed of seven different countries, each with unique elemental powers and ruled by different gods. The story centers on the Traveler, an otherworldly explorer who is separated from his twin brother after arriving in Teyvat. Accompanied by the mysterious Paimon, the traveler embarks on an epic journey through the nations of Teyvat. Along the way, they form bonds with various characters, become involved in affairs of state, and work to uncover the mysterious secrets of the land.

Genshin Impact dates back to 2017, drawing inspiration from a variety of sources including The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, anime aesthetics, Gnosticism, and the richness of global culture and mythology. Reception to the game has been largely positive, with critics praising its complex combat mechanics and charming open-world environment.
However, some criticism has been leveled at its relatively simple endgame content and monetization model rooted in gacha mechanics. Notably, Genshin Impact has been a huge financial success, with revenue across all platforms expected to be close to $3.6 billion as of September 2022. This remarkable number highlights its status as the highest-grossing video game in its first year of release.
Genshin Impact: Rainbow Rose locations and farming routes
In order to reach the final stage of ascension, each character needs to acquire 168 units of a specific local specialty. However, it would be quite difficult for Genshin Impact character Lenny to collect such a large number of rainbow roses. There are only 73 Rainbow Roses spread across five different areas, and multiple cultivations are necessary in order to accumulate the required numbers. It is worth noting that rainbow roses regenerate every 48 hours. For players who prefer to speed up their ascension process, venturing into other players’ realms becomes a viable option to quickly advance Lenny’s ascension journey.

A large patch of rainbow roses can be found northeast of Romaritime Harbor, which is the player’s first destination after arriving in Fontaine. Within this area, Genshin Impact’s three main locations are home to 16 local specialties:
- Journey to the teleport point just north of the Sin Realm ending. From there, head east and collect a total of seven Rainbow Roses.
- Head southeast and jump into the water. Swim east to an island with four rainbow roses.
- Reaching the third location presents some challenges as there are no waypoints nearby. You can choose to dive into the sea and continue swimming north until you reach the Bello area. From there, ascend the North Mountain to discover five rainbow roses. Alternatively, you can use the teleport point on the western slope of Mount Otomniki and walk south.
south of elinas
As travelers venture across the vast expanses of southern Elenas, they will encounter a total of 11 Rainbow Roses. In order to collect these flowers efficiently in Genshin Impact, it is recommended to use the Statue of the Seven Gods as a teleport point. Begin your journey southwest from the statue, where six flowers await you. Continuing north, three more rainbow roses can be seen. To get the last two delicate flowers, follow the dirt road that leads to the west.
Northwest side of Fontaine Court
Starting from the western waypoint of Fontaine’s Courtyard in Genshin Impact, players have the opportunity to venture north and collect a total of 10 Rainbow Roses scattered nearby. Additionally, an additional 15 Rainbow Roses can be found within the village area for those who choose to fast travel to another waypoint located north of the above location.
Fontaine Court Southeast
Located slightly southeast of Fontaine Court, players can descend from the station onto the grass below. By surrounding the platform, they can earn a total of seven rainbow roses.
Lucy Fountain and Marcotte Station
Adjacent to the Opera House, visitors can explore the Lucine Fountain and Marcotte Station. A total of 14 rainbow roses were planted at the two stations. First, take advantage of the Lucine Fountain waypoint. There, exploring the circular perimeter on either side, players will find a bounty of nine rainbow roses. Afterwards, head to Marcotte Station teleport waypoint. Nearby, collect five rainbow roses to decorate the surroundings.

Genshin Impact gameplay
Genshin Impact offers a vast open-world experience, dynamic gameplay elements, and rich character-driven narrative. Players can control a series of interchangeable characters in their party, leveraging their unique abilities and skills to tackle challenges and participate in exciting combat scenarios. As the player progresses, characters’ abilities can be enhanced by upgrading and equipping artifacts and weapons, providing diverse tactical options in combat.
The game world known as Teyvat is filled with opportunities for exploration, offering a variety of challenges and rewards. Players can fight powerful bosses and perform missions using a currency called “Primal Resin,” which gradually regenerates. Completing these challenges increases your Adventure Ranking, unlocks new quests, and increases your World Level—a metric that determines the strength of your enemies and the rarity of your rewards.
Movement mechanics include running, climbing, swimming and gliding, all of which are limited by endurance. Some characters have abilities that alter their environment, such as freezing water to create paths. Teleport nodes and Statues of the Seven enable efficient travel and provide important benefits. Crafting is crucial, and collecting items such as food and ores can enhance your character’s strength. Special combat instances called “realms” yield materials for character and weapon upgrades.
Multiplayer co-op mode allows up to four players to explore the world and participate in areas together, promoting collaborative play across platforms. The character roster is expanded through mission completion, limited-time events, and the gacha system “Wishes.” Elements including Anemo, Geo, Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, Electro and Dendro interact with each other in dynamic combat to create different effects. Each character has elemental skills and elemental bursts, which need to accumulate elemental energy to activate. Overall, Genshin Impact captivates players with its interplay of exploration, combat, and character development, all woven into a captivating world driven by elemental interaction and strategic gameplay.
