Gidler
(G)I-dle is a South Korean girl group formed in 2018 by Cube Entertainment, known for the unique role they play in creating their own music. Originally consisting of six members, the group now consists of five members: Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua, following the departure of Soojin in 2021. Since their debut, they have stood out by actively participating in songwriting and production, with Soyeon playing a leading role in this creative process.

In 2020, (G)I-dle surged in popularity with their single album “Dumdi Dumdi”, which peaked at No. 2 on the Circle Chart and became the second-highest-selling single album in girl group history. Their follow-up single “Tomboy”, from their first full-length album “I Never Die”, achieved chart success and remained at the top for more than two months.
Notably, they made history in 2023 by becoming the first independent label to debut at #39 on the Mediabase Top 40 Radio airplay chart and #40 on the US Billboard Pop airplay chart with a non-English song, signaling their global reach.
Gidle new album release date 2024
(G)I-DLE excited fans by announcing that they will release their new album, 2, on January 29, 2024. This will be the group’s comeback in three months since their debut English EP, Heat, released in October 2023, and their first return in South Korea since their mini-album, I Feel, released in May 2023. 2 is particularly noteworthy because it is the group’s first full album in nearly two years since the release of I Never Die in March 2022.

With the release of the album trailer, pre-order sales, and a growing sense of anticipation on social media, fans are excited to witness a new era of music from (G)I-DLE. Gidel Awards and Nominations
On May 22, 2018, (G)I-dle made their music debut on SBS MTV’s The Show with their hit song “Latata.” On July 24, 2018, they further solidified their rising star status by winning the title of “Female New Idol of the Year” at the annual Brand Awards. In their first year, the group won seven new artist awards at various prestigious award ceremonies.
Fast forward to 2020, (G)I-dle received a coveted nomination for Best K-Pop Video at the 37th MTV Video Music Awards. In 2021, the group continued to receive recognition, receiving a nomination in the “K-Pop Bomb” category at the Nickelodeon Mexico Kids’ Choice Awards.
