On May 22, 2018, (G)I-dle made their music debut on SBS MTV’s The Show with their hit song “Latata.” On July 24, 2018, they further solidified their rising star status by winning the title of “Female New Idol of the Year” at the annual Brand Awards. In their first year, the group won seven new artist awards at various prestigious award ceremonies.
