What is the swarm disaster in Collapse Star Orbit?

In Honkai Impact, Mass Disaster is an advanced mode in the simulated universe that increases the challenge by introducing new enemies, paths, and greater rewards. Accessed via the SU menu, it is similar to base mode but is significantly more difficult and is often considered the most difficult content in the game. At the highest difficulty, players will face level 95 enemies, surpassing the strength of opponents in other challenge levels.

To combat this, the mode has its own progression system and skill tree where character stats can be improved by completing various challenges, so it’s crucial to progress through that tree to streamline gameplay. In addition to bonus loot such as 4,500 star jade, players can also unlock communication paths in the base simulation universe, enhance combat skills and help with skill management of specific characters.

Initially, the player chooses from the available paths, unlocking more as the difficulty progresses, starting with the Destruction path in the tutorial, then the Protection, Enrichment, and Hunting paths.

What is a mass disaster reward?

The Swarm Scourge in Honkai Impact offers one-time rewards for solving specific difficulties, completing missions, and unlocking chapters in the story. The focus is on chapter rewards, with generous rewards up to 1300 Jade; however, meeting these requirements requires overcoming specific challenges. Players participate in challenges in Pathstrider’s Trails and accumulate points upon completion, which are visible in the accumulated points in the Challenge Log and Communication Trails sections.

Completing the challenges in “Walker’s Road” will also earn you an additional 20 pieces of jade. To receive chapter rewards, players must conquer designated planes on a specific difficulty and accumulate path points as required. In addition, unique curios and events in Mass Disaster Mode allow players to earn additional jade when collected from index areas.

Honkai Impact Gameplay

In Honkai Impact: Star Trails, gameplay revolves around assembling a team of characters for turn-based combat, reminiscent of classic Japanese role-playing games. Each character has unique abilities, a specific role in combat (called a “path”), and elemental affinities that affect their damage to specific enemies. The game also features the open world exploration and dungeon crawling mechanics that have become classic trademarks of the HoYoverse company.

Players accidentally acquire characters and items through the gacha system, adding unpredictability and excitement to the gaming experience.
