Melee and ranged weapons

In Lords of the Fallen, you will encounter various weapons such as swords and bows. To upgrade them, seek out Blacksmith Gerlind. First, rescue her from Pilgrim Bass’ cell. Then, find her in Skyrest and interact with her to access the “Upgrade Gear” option. Upgrading requires Vitality (obtained from enemies) and a special material called Drakin, with the cost increasing the higher the level of the upgrade.

Ability-enhancing runes

You can enhance the capabilities of certain weapons by attaching runes, which can be obtained from Gerind. Only +1 weapons can have runes, and each weapon has a specific slot. Select the “Slotted Runes” option when interacting with Gerlinde to view the available runes for the selected weapon slot.

Morru handles the Shadow Lamp upgrade, which can be found in the Shadow Realm within Sky’s Breath. Find his “Upgrade Shadow Lamp” option, but remember you can only interact with him in the Shadow Realm. To upgrade, you need an item called “Antediluvian Chisel”, most likely found in the Umbral realm.

Enhance shadow eyes

Similar to Runes, you can insert Eyes of Shadow into your Shadow Lamp. These provide additional benefits related to the Shadow Realm or Light functionality. Each Eye of Shadow has an effect on both the primary and secondary slots. When you upgrade your lights, you’ll unlock auxiliary sockets. Look for the Eyes of Shadow hidden in the Shadow Realm to receive these rewards.

One is called Axiom, where living things are, and the other is Umbral, where the dead are. If you die in Axiom, you go to Umbral, and then have to return to Axiom to get back what you lost.
