Jumbification in “Disgaea 7”

In Disgaea 7, there is a unique feature called Jumbification. This new mechanic lets you zoom in on your characters, giving them a significant power boost. I mean really big. Once a character undergoes Jumbification, they will take up a large portion of the battlefield, either launching powerful attacks at the edge of the arena or engaging in a huge showdown with another Jumbified character across from them. This guide explains how Jumbification works in the game.

How does Jumbification work in Disgaea 7?

Jumbification in Disgaea 7 allows you to transform your character into a gigantic figure that towers over the edge of the stage. However, being united does not mean they are invulnerable. They can still be defeated by other combined or regular units.

Giant units gain the ability to perform Giant Attacks, a special move unique to this mode. They can target each other directly or use different skills to attack units within the stage. Additionally, when a character is united, they bring special bonuses to other units. For example, Jeyasu’s combination can increase a unit’s defense by a specific percentage.

To use Jumbification, you need to fill up your Rage Meter by attacking enemies or taking damage. Once full, you can mix in any character, including your main cast or recruits from your netherworld.

After reaching the boss battle in Chapter 2, Map 5, you will unlock Jumbification. A tutorial will guide you through the mechanics, and during that battle your rage meter will remain full for testing purposes. After that, you can use it anytime.

Jumbification is especially handy for clearing many enemies at once, making stage completion smoother. However, it is mainly useful in special battles where the opponent will also become numb. “Disgaea 7” has been released in North America for PS4, PS5, Switch and PC, with a European release date set for October 6, 2023, and an Australian release date set for October 13, 2023.
