Bulletstorm gameplay

Bulletstorm is a first-person shooter centered around intense combat with an emphasis on creative kills. Players have access to eight different weapons, including non-traditional weapons like the Bodyguard and the Flail Gun. Each weapon offers an alternative firing mode using “Charges”. The protagonist has additional features such as the “Instinct Leash” to pull enemies and the “Thumper” upgrade. Players can kick, slide, and perform skill shots by creatively taking out enemies, earning points as currency for weapons and upgrading them via dropped kits. The game also includes modes such as “Echoes” for single-player challenges and “Anarchy,” a cooperative multiplayer mode with unique skill shots and progression.

The background of “Bulletstorm” is set in the 26th century, ruled by the “Union of Planets”. Death Echo leader Grayson Hunter discovers that his superior, General Sarano, is manipulating them into committing crimes. After escaping and becoming pirates, they were ambushed by Sarano’s flagship. Grayson attempts revenge, but crashes on the planet Stygia, setting off a series of events. Grayson teams up with Ish and Trishka to face the challenge of uncovering Trishka’s past and confronting Sarano’s evil plan involving a DNA bomb. The story unfolds with betrayal, sacrifice, and the reveal in the end credits of Sarano’s survival as a robot.
