How to Get Meteorite Fragments in Palworld

Palworld’s Sakurajima update adds more levels, gear, new companions, and even random events like supply drops and meteor showers. These meteor showers are good for players, so here’s how to get meteorite fragments in Palworld.

Palworld players can obtain Meteorite Fragments by mining meteorites that fall from the sky. Materials and activities were recently added in the Sakurajima update.

Meteorites hitting the ground are a new event that occurs randomly. There is no set spot or location where players can find meteorites falling, though the best chance I’ve come across one is by fast traveling. You’ll know when a meteorite is about to fall because a flashing red message will appear on the screen: A METEORITE IS FALLING.

A meteorite will fall from the sky near the player and will be marked on the map with a white meteorite icon. Selyne, Xenogard, or Xenovader Pals will guard the meteorite. One of the three will be near the meteorite and may fight other Pals or humans who happen to be near the meteorite.

Defeat or capture the new partner to get the meteorite for yourself. There will be meteorite fragments on the ground next to the boulder, but the meteorite itself can be mined to produce more fragments. Players can get about two dozen meteorite fragments per activity.

The best use for Meteorite Fragments is to craft the Meteor Launcher, a rocket launcher that fires meteors. The recipe is unlocked at level 37 by spending 3 Ancient Tech Points, and can be crafted on the Weapon Assembly Line.

The Meteor Launcher requires 100 Meteorite Fragments, 30 Refined Ingots, and 20 Palladium Fragments. The weapon also requires Gatling Gun Bullets as ammunition, so be sure to stockpile enough ammunition before crafting.
