How to get a pickaxe in Children of the Forest

• Find the new cave: Go to the northeastern part of the island, north of the circular lake, northeast of the snowy mountain area. Look for a hole in the ground between the rocks.
• To get through the cave: Go down the long rope inside the cave and follow the path straight ahead. Pass the small waterfall on the left and continue along the flowing water on the right. Descend to the lower level of the cave, where you will find an air tank and a backpack.
• Further exploration: Head left from the air tank and backpack to a small deep pool of water. Dive in and swim through a narrow passage, past the skeletons, until you reach the other side. Climb up the rocks and descend to a small area below.
• Find the Pickaxe: Destroy the wooden planks blocking the path. Keep going, collecting loot and exploring side roads as needed. Eventually, you’ll reach an area with a Solafite structure. Keep going until you find a dead end with electricity, where you can pick up an artifact.
• Return to Find the Pickaxe: Go back to where you smashed the planks and fell. Take the path opposite the blocked door, slide into the water, and equip your rebreather. Swim forward, then up to find a narrow path leading to the pickaxe stuck in the glittering Solafit Ore.
• Leaving the Cave: To leave the cave, climb up the rope to reach another body of water. Jump down, follow the path, and climb up another rope. Walk towards the blue light and use the pickaxe in your inventory to exit the cave.
