Tekken 8

Tekken 8 is a new fighting game published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The game was launched for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S on January 26, 2024. The story of the game is called Dark Awakening and takes place six months after the previous work.

Tekken 8 plot

In Tekken 8, after Heihachi’s death, Jin Kazama, Lars Alexanderson, and Lee Chao Lan ambush Kazuya Mishima in Manhattan, resulting in the failure of the operation. Kazuya announces a new Tekken tournament, sparking a global conflict. Jin Kazama recovers from his injuries and finds that he cannot activate his Devil Power at will. He participates in the preliminaries, meets Heihachi’s illegitimate daughter Lina, and qualifies for the main tournament. Meanwhile, Zafina, Claudio, and Kozame watch the tournament and seek Jin Kazama’s help against Kazuya.

During the major tournament in Rome, Jin defeats Leroy Smith but learns of Kazuya’s plot. Claudio injures Kazuya but seemingly sacrifices himself. Kazuya absorbs Azazel’s power and becomes a true demon. Jin and his expanded allies battle Kazuya on Yakushima. Jin regains control of his demonic powers, awakens his angelic form, and defeats Kazuya. The world celebrates its freedom, and Reina, who survives, vows revenge and reveals her demonic genes.
