How to Skip the Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance Intro Videos

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is a massive JRPG with a ton of content to experience and enjoy. Getting this content on PC always takes a little while due to multiple intro videos, logos, and disclaimers. If you want to get started on the demon hunting action as quickly as possible, here’s how you can skip the intro video for Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance.

Skip the Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance intro video

Thanks again to modder Lyall for his excellent patch for Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance. One of the features of this patch is that it completely skips the intro and jumps directly to the main menu.

  • Go to the following GitHub link
  • Click SMTVFix_v0.8.5.zip under Assets to download the latest patch file (0.8.5 at the time of writing)
  • Extract the zip file to the location where Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is installed

steamapps\common\SMT5V

  • Then go to the following places

steamapps\common\SMT5V\Project\Binaries\Win64

  • From here, open the SMTVFix.ini file using a text editor such as Notepad or Notepad++
  • Set the value of Enabled to true [Intro Skip]You can also set other features to true if you want. I especially recommend removing the 60 FPS cap option from the menu.

  • Afterwards, save the file and exit

That’s all you need to do, and the next time you launch Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance it will take you straight to the main menu without you having to watch or skip anything.
