IPL Auction 2025: List of Players available for Upcoming Mega Auction Next Year

The much-anticipated IPL mega auction 2025 has kicked off as IPL teams officially announce their player retention. Big names like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni and Pat Cummins were retained by their respective franchises, but others, including Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, Mitchell Starc and KL Rahul, have been released and will now enter the auction pool.

This means that the IPL mega auction 2025 will provide franchises with the opportunity to develop new talent or bid for some of the most experienced stars in the tournament.

Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders have made a surprising move by releasing their title-winning skipper Shreyas Iyer ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction. However, they strategically utilized all six reserved spots to retain a strong core of players including their mystery spinners Sunil Narine, Varun Chakravarthy, Lin Rinku Singh, Andre Russell, Ramandeep Singh and Harshit Rana.
