Has the Skulls & Bones public beta been released?
The Skull and Bones open beta has been released. The open beta runs from February 8 to 11, 2024, and offers players the opportunity to experience the game before its official release. Importantly, participating in the open beta is completely free, with no purchase or pre-order required.
During this time, the game features full cross-play and cross-progression. This means players can enjoy the game on different platforms, and any progress made during the open beta will carry over to the full game if they decide to purchase it. Players took to the high seas for the first time in the beta, exploring locations such as Red Island, the coast of Africa, and the East Indies.
The beta allows players to embark on an adventure, face challenges, develop strategies, and encourage players to sail thoughtfully. Although story progression is locked after the “Kill the Rat” contract, players can continue to explore, participate in bounty hunting, side contracts and world events, and create their own pirate story in the vast and dangerous sea of skulls and bones.
