Warhammer 40k
Warhammer 40,000 is a popular game in which players fight on tabletop model battlefields using small models of warriors and vehicles. The game has been around since 1987, and the latest version was launched in June 2023. In the game, players take turns moving models and compete against each other using dice and simple math.
Warhammer 40,000 is set in a future where humans are dealing with unfriendly aliens and supernatural beings. Models in the game can be humans, aliens, or monsters with futuristic weapons and special abilities. The game’s background is described in many novels published by Games Workshop’s Black Library. “Warhammer 40,000” is named after another game called “Warhammer Fantasy Battle”, which tells the story of medieval fantasy battles. While the two games aren’t set in the same universe, they share similar themes and ideas.

Warhammer 40k Gameplay
Warhammer 40k, much like Owlcat Games’ previous game Pathfinder: Kingmaker, is a role-playing video game presented in an isometric view and relies heavily on the d100 TTRPG system. In the game, players take charge of a team of six characters, including their custom personas, engaging in ground combat and social interactions. Gameplay includes a turn-based combat system and uses an isometric perspective.
Notably, the game stands out for its focus on realm-building, with decisions made as a Rogue Trader affecting broader gameplay and the development of a space empire. Space combat is also a notable feature, adding variety to the gaming experience. In addition, the game supports multiplayer co-op mode, allowing players to work with others in the immersive Warhammer 40,000 universe.

“Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III” is a first-person shooter developed by Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision Blizzard. This game is the twentieth game in the “Call of Duty” series and the third game in the rebooted “Modern Warfare” sub-series, following the events of 2022’s “Modern Warfare II”.
The game was released on November 10, 2023 on multiple platforms, including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. “Modern Warfare III” retains the realistic and contemporary setting of the previous game and continues the overall narrative of the series.

The storyline revolves around the multinational Special Operations Forces Task Force 141 as they hunt down Vladimir Makarov, a Russian ultranationalist and terrorist who plans to incite World War III. The multiplayer portion of the game features remastered versions of all 16 base maps from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, with additional maps being prepared for post-launch updates.

“Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3” gameplay
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III offers similar gameplay to its predecessor, Modern Warfare II, and the broader Call of Duty series. It retains features such as slide to cancel, and introduces “open combat missions” in the campaign, allowing players to approach targets more freely.
In multiplayer mode, all 16 maps of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be accessible at launch. Players can vote for maps in the matchmaking lobby, a feature returning after being omitted from some recent games. The game also increases the player’s health, thereby extending the “time to kill” (TTK).
The “red dot” minimap, which was not present in Modern Warfare 2019, is back with a vengeance, showing the location of enemies when they fire unsuppressed weapons. Classic game modes like Kill Confirmed and Hardpoint are back, along with a new mode called Cutthroat. Ground War and War modes return with dedicated maps, and AI-driven moderation can identify and report toxic behavior. More than a dozen new multiplayer maps will be released at launch.
A highlight is the novel open-world PvE Zombies mode developed in partnership between Treyarch and Sledgehammer Games. Unlike traditional turn-based Zombies, it follows a DMZ mode structure, with up to 24 players forming squads to battle zombies and AI-controlled human enemies to complete objectives, collect loot, and extract items. The mode introduces “zones” instead of rounds, with escalating difficulty levels. Aetherstorms and narrative-driven story missions add depth to the experience.
