Recording for the album took place between May and August 2022, with completion in June 2023. Lopez drew inspiration from her renewed romance with Affleck, making it a sequel to her 2002 album, “This Is Me… Then.” This release is significant as it’s her first studio album in a decade, following 2014’s “A.K.A.,” and Lopez personally funded the entire project with a budget of around $20 million.

In addition to the album release, Lopez is embarking on her first tour since 2019, titled “This Is Me… Now: The Tour.” The tour will commence on June 26, 2024, in Orlando, Florida, and conclude on August 31, 2024, in Houston, Texas.
