Jharkhand Cabinet Minister List 2024: Check Names, Ministry and Party

On December 5, 2024, Hemant Soren expanded his cabinet in Jharkhand, appointing 11 ministers after a major electoral victory.

The cabinet includes six members from the Jharkhand Vidhan Sabha (JMM), four from the Congress and one from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).

The new ministers were sworn in by Governor Santosh Gangwar, marking a strategic move to enhance representation of various communities.

The election results showed that the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and its allies under the India Group won a decisive 56 seats out of 81.

Soren won the Barhait constituency by more than 4,000 votes, showing strong public support.

Jharkhand Current Cabinet Ministers List 2024

According to the Jharkhand government, a total of 11 MLAs have been sworn in as ministers in the JMM-led Mahagathbandhan government in Jharkhand.

Jharkhand Governor Santosh Gangwar also sworn in senior JMM MLA from Maheshpur Stephen Marandi as the Speaker of the State Assembly. Marandi’s appointment came after Chief Minister Hemant Soren was sworn in on November 28.

The newly sworn-in ministers include Ramdas Soren, Dipak Birua and Hafizul Hasan from the JMM, and Dipika Pandey Singh from the Congress, who retained their previous cabinet posts.

The swearing-in ceremony was held at Raj Bhavan at 12:50 pm on Thursday and was presided over by Governor Santosh Gangwar.

The expansion comes in the wake of Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s landslide victory in the 2024 Jharkhand Assembly elections.

Last week, on November 28, Soren was sworn in as the Chief Minister for the second consecutive term on behalf of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM). The appointees include prominent leaders such as Ramdas Soren of JMM and Radha Krishna Kishore of Congress.
