When you start Last Epoch, you can choose from five classes: Mage, Rogue, Primal, Acolyte, and Sentinel. Each class has its own special abilities and skills. As you level up, you’ll unlock Masteries, which are like advanced paths for your class. You can’t change your Masteries later, so choose carefully.

Eleventh Hour Games made the game Last Epoch. They first released a demo on Kickstarter in April 2018 to seek support. Then, in April 2019, they let people try out the beta on Steam before finishing it.
Initially, the game was to be released in April 2020, but they needed more time, so they set the target for the end of 2020. Later, in October 2020, they said that they could not make a Mac version because it was too difficult.
In December 2020, they announced that the game wouldn’t be ready until 2021. Then, in March 2023, they allowed some people to play together online to test it. Finally, in October 2023, they announced the official release date: February 21, 2024.
