List of Padma Awards 2025

In 2025, 139 Padma Awards were announced to recognize individuals’ outstanding performance in arts, medicine, education, public affairs, and more. This extraordinary year features 113 Padma Bhushan and 113 Padma Shri recipients from India and abroad, reflecting the recognition of outstanding and high-level contributions in the United States.

The Indian President has awarded 139 PADMA awards in 2025, including a duo (two of which are considered one). The 139 awards include 7 Padma Vibhushan, 19 Padma Bhushan and 113 Padma Shri Awards. This year can be considered an exception, as there are usually no more than 120 PADMA awards. Following this tradition, the Union Ministry of the Interior announced the winners’ names on the eve of the 76th Republic. The award was presented in March or April of the same year by the President of India at the ceremony held by Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi. Read for a complete list of Padma winners.
