Transportation Facilities in Mahakumbh 2025

The Uttar Pradesh government has formulated several important plans to ensure special transportation facilities in Mahakumbh by 2025. Some of the main features are as follows:

• One-way route: To ensure smooth traffic during the Kumbh Mela, 7 main routes will be provided including Jaunpur, Varanasi, Mirzapur, Rewa, Kanpur, Lucknow, Ayodhya-Pratapgarh. Implement a one-way route system.
• Parking facilities: A total of 101 parking spaces are proposed, which can accommodate approximately 500,000 cars. There will be separate parking for heavy and light vehicles.

Shuttle buses and e-rickshaws: During the Mela, 550 shuttle buses and 20,000 e-rickshaws will be available to help pilgrims travel easily within different areas of the fair.

Digital Signage: 100 digital signs and 80 VMDs will be installed in the exhibition area. They will provide pilgrims with various details such as traffic routes and parking conditions.

road bus service

Coolie service: Coolies are set up at road bus stations to guide passengers and their luggage. These coolies will receive special training so that they can provide good service and guide the Kumbh routes.
