Experimental Features

Wind Strike

  • Be the breeze! Using wind charge will fire a wind-charged projectile similar to a breeze.
  • Player-launched Wind Blasts now deal 10% more knockback than Breeze Blasts, but have a much smaller radius.
  • Like projectiles fired by the breeze, wind projectiles fired by the player will also cause damage if they directly hit an entity.
  • Breeze drops 4-6 Wind Charges when killed
  • There is a half-second cooldown after each use.
  • Wind bombs can be fired from a launcher
  • Players that catapult themselves with a wind blast will only accumulate fall damage below the y level they collided with the wind blast

Vault

  • Adjusted Vault textures to make them easier to distinguish from Trial Spawners

Change

  • Final Adjustments to Armadillo
  • Tamed Wolves health and damage updated
  • Added option to use Japanese variants of CJK characters
  • Hoppers will no longer try to pick up item entities if there is a full block above them

Armadillo

  • When an armadillo is injured, it does not panic, but curls up, hiding its head and feet.
  • The armadillo will first stick its head out to see if the surrounding area is safe, and then unfold its body.
  • New animations and sounds for rolling up and unrolling + peek animations

Tamed wolf health and damage

  • Tamed wolves now have 40 health (20 hearts) instead of 20 health (10 hearts)
  • They no longer take half the damage from most environmental factors that they once did.
  • In most cases this change won’t have any impact given the increased health, but now they can take more damage from players and arrows
  • Feeding wolves now restores twice as much health

Japanese font variants

  • Added new option for selecting Japanese variants of some CJK characters
  • Replacement glyphs are from the Japanese version of Unifont
  • The new Font Settings menu includes a new option, accessible from the Language menu
  • The default value for this option is based on the system locale setting.
  • The “Force Unicode” button has been moved to Font Settings

  • The data pack version is now 31
  • Resource pack version is now 26
  • Improved hopper performance
  • Added JFR (Java Flight Recorder) events for individual chunk reads (minecraft.ChunkRegionRead) and writes (minecraft.ChunkRegionWrite)
  • The maximum length of a command in a function (including macro expansion) cannot exceed 2,000,000 characters
  • Reduce the amount of data sent by the server when logging in by reusing parts of the original data package

Packet version 31

  • Potion effect amplifier is again limited to between 0 and 255
  • The previous behavior of effects such as jump boost, levitation, and mining fatigue above 127 has been replaced by new properties
  • Added generic.gravity property for controlling downward block/tick^2 acceleration
  • Added generic.safe_fall_distance property to control the fall distance beyond which entities will take fall damage
  • Added generic.fall_damage_multiplier property to increase overall fall damage amount
  • Renamed horse.jump_strength to generic.jump_strength, now applies to all entities
  • This controls the base pulse of the jump (before jump boost or blocking modifiers)
  • Added player.block_break_speed property as a multiplier for the speed at which the player breaks blocks
  • All block positions are now stored as arrays of 3 integers instead of X, Y and Z mappings
  • FlowerPos and HivePos in Bees have been renamed to flower_pos and hive_pos
  • FlowerPos in Beehives has been renamed to flower_pos
  • BeamTarget in the End Crystal has been renamed to beam_target
  • “Bind” has been renamed to “Bind” for all Bindable entities
  • PatrolTarget in Patrol Mob has been renamed to patrol_target
  • ExitPortal in End Gateway has been renamed to exit_portal
  • WanderTarget in wandering trader has been renamed to wander_target

Block Tags

  • Added ‘minecraft:blocks_wind_charge_explosions’ for blocks that are not affected by explosions when hit by wind.

Font variation filter

  • Each glyph provider can now be enabled or disabled based on a specific set of variants
  • The available variants are currently hardcoded and controlled by the font options menu
  • Current variants:
  • Unify – Connected to the “Force Unify” button
  • jp – connects to the Japanese Glyph Variant button
  • Filters are defined in the filters section and are available to each glyph provider.
  • The keys in this object are the variant names (e.g., uniform)
  • Glyph providers are included only if the value in the filter matches the actual value of the variant in the key

Fixed a bug in Minecraft snapshot 24w06a

  • Snow golems’ snowballs now hurt wolves instead of pushing them away
  • Tamed wolves’ health is reset when NBT is loaded (e.g. re-logging in)
  • The hopper has a bucket on top, facing downwards, for picking up items.
  • Japanese using Chinese fonts
  • The macro is too long and fails silently
  • Unkillable ghasts can be killed by reflected fireballs
  • Baby armadillos don’t make eating sounds when feeding on spider eyes
  • Armadillo scale drop timer not saved in data
  • Armadillos without AI will curl up after being attacked
  • “Shuniji”, “Dragon Fish”, and “Axolotl” no longer play underwater
  • Singleplayer client drops synced biome tags
  • Horse armor and wolf armor disappear when right-clicking in mid-air
  • “block.vault.fall” uses a placeholder sound.

My World Gameplay
