Mobile Legends: Bang Bang

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) is a popular mobile game produced by Moonton Company. It came out in 2016 and is very famous, especially in places like Southeast Asia. In the game, two teams of five players compete in real time. Matches usually last around 10 minutes and begin after a 10-second matchmaking process. The goal is to fight through three different paths, called lanes, destroying the enemy’s tower while protecting your own. Winning or losing in the game depends on your skills, your abilities and how you plan your strategy.

Due to its success, Moonton organized a major tournament called Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Pro League (MPL). These tournaments determine which teams can participate in the Mobile Legends World Championship. MLBB even became part of the eSports competition at the 2019 Southeast Asian Games in the Philippines. It was one of the first competitions to become part of an esports medal event.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Gameplay

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is a game that can be played on mobile phones where you team up with four other players and play against another team of five in real time. It is free to play and the only things you can purchase in the game are characters and their different appearances, called skins. In the game, each player chooses a hero to control. These heroes have special abilities and are divided into six different roles: Tank, Marksman, Assassin, Warrior, Mage and Support. These characters showcase what each hero is good at and what they do in the game.

The main goal of the game is to destroy the opponent’s base to win. There are three lanes on the map: upper, lower, and middle. Each team must protect its base while attacking the other team’s towers in these lanes. Between the lanes, there is an area called the Jungle, which contains different monsters that can help the player.

Players cannot directly attack the enemy base without first demolishing the enemy tower. Each lane has three towers that do a lot of damage. In order to destroy them, players need to attack them with their team and their minions (little helper characters) without taking much damage.

There are different game modes. In “Classic Mode”, winning or losing does not affect your ranking. You can also play different modes, such as Brawl, where you get random heroes and fight in a single lane, or Magic Chess, a strategy game based on the heroes of Mobile Legends. There are other modes too, like Chaos Mode where the heroes are super powerful, Death Battle where you play as different heroes in a match, and Mirror Mode where your team uses the same hero based on voting. Players can also battle against artificial intelligence, engage in custom battles with friends, and practice using heroes in training mode.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Development

Moonton is a company with 20 employees, and their first game, Magic Rush: Heroes, was a success in 2015. They then made a new game called Mobile Legends, a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game, which was released on July 14th. Released in the United States in 2016 by Elex Tech. In 2017, after Riot Games filed a lawsuit, Moonton removed the game from Google Play and re-released it as Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang has some security issues due to a vulnerability named CVE-2015-8271, which also affects other apps like Facebook and Messenger. This is because they are using some old code from third-party sources in their application.

In July 2019, Moonton released Mobile Legends: Bang Bang 2.0, which included upgrades such as using an updated version of the Unity game engine and promised faster loading times, reduced lag, and better graphics. In early 2020, the game faced cheating and hacking issues, resulting in some players being banned. Moonton also had to deal with accounts being hacked due to third-party scripts. In response, they added two-factor authentication.

In June 2020, Moonton announced the launch of the 5th anniversary project NEXT for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. This involves changes to the game interface, updates to old heroes, and gameplay improvements. The game will be released in three phases from September 2020 to September 2021. The game was extremely successful, with over 1 billion downloads and 100 million monthly players at its peak.
