A group of modders are busy reviving The Day Before, a game facing closure. The game made quite a splash when it launched in 2023, but received a lot of negative feedback due to numerous bugs and missing features. The developers announced that they will be shutting down the game in December 2024. Now, these modders (known as Luci0 and fskartd) are on a mission to make the game playable offline. They’ve figured out how to load certain parts of the game and even make player characters appear. They also have no control over the character, so moving around is impossible. Their plan is to make it as easy as possible for people to start playing games offline. Beyond that, they hope to explore opportunities to build custom servers so that online gaming might become an option again. Luci0 mentioned that they are still in the early stages of development, so there is no date set for when the mod will be available. They’re working hard, but it may take some time for players to get back to “the day before” in a different way.
