India
India’s T20I cricket team won the first men’s T20 World Cup in 2007 and has some of the best players in the team including Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh raina and Suryakumar yadav.
Virat Kohli became the first Indian batsman to score a hundred in a T20I match. He did it in the ICC Men’s T20WC in 2010. Since then, six other players have also scored three-figure scores in T20I cricket. Currently, Rohit Sharma has scored most hundreds in T20I matches for India, four times. This is a joint record for most hundreds scored in a T20I match in international cricket.
New Zealand
The New Zealand national cricket team represents New Zealand in men’s international cricket. The team has played in two Cricket World Cup finals and one T20 World Cup final. The current captain of the national team is Kane Williamson, who also captains the national ODI and T20I teams.
Williamson’s first international series as full-time captain was the 2016 Men’s T20 World Cup in India, where the team won all four group stage matches but lost to England in the semi-finals. Following the annual rankings update on 4 May 2016, New Zealand was ranked number one in T20I cricket. The home season began with a win over West Indies in all formats, followed by a win over Pakistan in the ODI series. However, after losing to Pakistan in the ODI series, New Zealand lost the number one spot in the T20I rankings.
Australia
As of May 2022, Australia is currently ranked 5th in the International Cricket Council (ICC) T20I Championship with 251 points. Australia also won the ICC Men’s T20 Championship 2021. Australia is represented in men’s international cricket by the Australian Men’s National Cricket Team.
Australia is one of the oldest Test teams in history, having played its first Test match in 1877. Australia also competes in One-Day International and Twenty20 cricket, playing the inaugural One-Day International against England in 1970-71 and the inaugural Twenty20 against New Zealand in 2004-05.
South Africa
South Africa first played an international match against the English cricket team in 1888-89. South Africa played a T20I match against Australia in 2005. The current T20I captain of the South African team is Aiden Markham.
South Africa made its first appearance in the first-class competition in the 1888-89 season and played its first international T20I match against England in the same season. The team was initially unable to compete with either Australia or England, but over time the team gained more experience and knowledge and by the beginning of the 20th century it was able to field a competitive team. Currently, as of November 2023, South Africa is ranked 3rd in ODIs, 5th in T20Is, and 4th in Test matches.
West Indies
The West Indies national cricket team represents the West Indies in international cricket and is currently ranked 8th in the International Cricket Council (ICC) in Test matches, 10th in One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and 7th in Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).
The West Indies have won two ICC Cricket World Cups (in 1975 and 1979, when the format was changed to the Prudential format) and two ICC T20 WCF titles (in 2012 and 2016, when the format was changed to the World Twenty20 format), and have hosted two ICC World Cups (in 2007 and 2010, and in 2024, when the United States co-hosted the event).

Rohit Sharma
Rohit Gurunath Sharma is an Indian cricketer who currently captains the Indian national cricket team in all formats of the game. Rohit is a right-handed player. He is considered one of the finest cricketers of his generation and one of the best opening batsmen of all time. Rohit is known for his skillful batting skills, elegant strokes, six-hitting ability, and leadership qualities.
Sharma holds several batting records in international cricket, including most sixes in One-Day Internationals, most centuries in a Cricket World Cup, and the joint most centuries in T20Is. He is the first cricketer to score 5 centuries in the T20I format. Rohit plays for Mumbai in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and for Mumbai in domestic cricket. Under his leadership, the team won 5 IPL titles between 2013 and 2020. He is the highest run-scorer in the history of the IPL with 5 titles, second only to MS Dhoni who has won 5 titles.
Glenn Maxwell
Glenn James Maxwell is an Australian cricketer. Born on 14 October 1988, Maxwell has represented Australia in all forms of cricket since 2012. However, he is primarily a One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International (T20I) specialist. Maxwell is a right-handed batsman known for his unorthodox batting style and right-arm opening bowling.
He also created history by becoming the third fastest double-hundred scorer in the history of the World Cup in November 2023. He is also the first Australian player to score a double hundred in One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and played the winning knock in the final of the 2023 Cricket World Cup against India.
In the same month after the World Cup final, he also scored his fourth century in an International T20 match against India, breaking Rohit Sharma’s record for the most centuries in an International T20 match. He also became the first man in the history of the men’s International T20 match to score three centuries in a run chase, and the only batsman in the history of the International T20 match to score a century in 100 matches.
Suryakumar Yadav
Suryakumar Yadav is an Indian cricketer who plays for the Indian national cricket team (IND). He is a right-handed middle-order batsman and right-arm off-spin bowler, and occasionally plays as a right-handed wicketkeeper batsman. He represents Mumbai in domestic first-class cricket. He was a part of the Indian team that finished runner-up in the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup.
He plays for Mumbai Indians in the IPL. In 2022, he was named captain for India’s series against Australia and scored 144 runs in 5 innings, helping India win the series 4-1. In the following tour of South Africa, Suryakumar scored his fourth T20I hundred, second only to Rohit Sharma and Glenn Maxwell.
Colin Munro
Colin Munro is a South African-born New Zealand cricketer who plays limited-overs cricket. He was a member of the New Zealand Under-19 team and currently plays for Auckland. Munro scored his second T20I hundred on 4 November 2017, in the second match of the India tour. He became the second New Zealander (after McCullum) to score two centuries in a T20I match, and the fourth New Zealander to score two centuries in a T20I match. He also became the first batsman in the history of T20I cricket to score two centuries in a single year.
In the West Indies series on 3 January 2018, Munro opened the batting in the limited-overs format and became the first player in T20I history to score three centuries. In March 2019, Munro was named the ANZ International Men’s T20 Player of the Year at the New Zealand Cricket Awards.
Martin Coetzee
Martin Coetzee is a South African cricketer who plays for the Hong Kong national cricket team. Coetzee made his Twenty20 international debut for the Gauteng Cricket Board in the Africa T20 Cup on 14 September 2018. On 4 October 2018, Coetzee played his first-class match for Gauteng in the CSA 3 Day Provincial Cup against the Cape Province Cricket Board. Coetzee was born on 12 October 1988.
Babar Azam
Babar Azam (born 15 October 1994) is a Pakistani cricketer and former captain of the national cricket team. He is considered one of the best batsmen in the world today. Currently, he is the only Pakistani cricketer ranked in the top ten in all cricket formats. Currently, Babar Azam is the top batsman in ODIs, the 4th in T20Is, and the 3rd in Test matches. He is a right-handed batsman and a top-order batsman.
Currently, he is the captain of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). He is Pakistan’s most outstanding batsman, with his most recent hundred being 122 against South Africa in a T20I. His hundred in the 5th ODI was the second hundred by a Pakistani batsman in Australia after Zaheer Abbas in 1981. He is the first Pakistani to score a hundred in all forms of cricket and the fourth captain.
Mohammad Wasim
Muhammad Waseem was born on 12 February 1996 in Lahore, Pakistan, and is an international cricketer for the UAE national cricket team. Waseem made his T20I debut on 5 October 2021 against Namibia. Five days later, he scored his first T20I hundred against Ireland. Waseem scored 107 runs in 62 balls, which was his first hundred in a T20I.

Wasim’s first one-day century came against Papua New Guinea in the Nepal series. He scored 119 runs off 76 balls, including 12 sixes. His innings lasted 61 balls, setting a record for the fastest one-day century in the UAE.[16] The next day, Asif Khan broke the UAE record with a century from 41 balls.
Evan Lewis
Evan Earl Lewis (born 27 December 1991 in Trinidad and Tobago) is an opening batsman who has also played for the West Indies. Lewis has played in the highest level of limited-overs cricket and is only the third batsman to score two centuries in a T20I, the others being Brendan McCullum (twice) and Chris Gayle (twice). He holds the record for the highest score by a retired batsman in international cricket (176 not out) and the highest score by a West Indies player in a T20I (125 not out).
Lewis was a member of the West Indies T20I World Cup winning team in 2016. In November 2016, he scored his first One-Day International (ODI) hundred against Sri Lanka at the Harare Sports Club (Zimbabwe tri-series, 2016–17), scoring 148 runs (15 fours, 4 sixes).
George Muncy
Henry George Muncy is a Scottish cricketer. He has been playing for Scotland since 2015. Muncy plays as a left-handed opener for the national team. He also works as a sales representative for Henry Nicholls. In an unofficial Twenty20 match played on 21 April 2019, Muncy scored 147 runs off 39 balls against Bath.
He scored a hundred in 25 balls, having previously scored a fifty in 17 balls, and also hit six sixes in an over, for a total of 326/3 in 20 overs. He also scored 127 in the second match of the three-match series in Ireland against the Netherlands. This was his first hundred in a T20I match and the second fastest hundred in T20I cricket, scored in 41 balls.
Glenn Phillips
Glenn Dominic Phillips is a New Zealand cricket batsman who was born in South Africa. He plays for Otago in domestic competitions. Phillips made his international debut in February 2017. In December 2015, Phillips was named in the 2016 New Zealand U19 Cricket World Cup squad. In December 2017, Phillips’ brother Dale was named in the 2018 New Zealand U19 Cricket World Cup squad.
In the last match of the regular season for the Stags, he scored his first ODI hundred (117 not out) against Central Zone, which the team won by 6 wickets. He also scored his second T20I hundred (104) against Sri Lanka in the second group match of the tournament. He became the highest scorer for New Zealand with 201 runs, in addition to scoring a hundred against England.
