Most Fifa World Cup Wins Till 2024

The FIFA World Cup, commonly referred to as the World Cup, is a prestigious international football tournament contested by the adult men’s national teams of FIFA member countries. The tournament is hosted by FIFA and has been held every four years since its inception in 1930. However, the two tournaments in 1942 and 1946 were canceled due to World War II. Argentina are the defending champions, having won the 2022 World Cup for the third time. Brazil tops the list with five World Cup titles, while Germany have reached the final 13 times, underscoring their long-standing dominance of global football.

As of now, the FIFA World Cup finals are only contested by teams from two leagues: UEFA (Europe) and CONMEBOL (South America). European national teams have won the World Cup 12 times, while South American teams have won 10 times. Only three countries outside these continents have reached the semi-finals: the United States in 1930 (North, Central America and the Caribbean), South Korea in 2002 (Asia) and Morocco in 2022 (Africa). The only team to advance from the group stage, reaching the second round in 2006 and repeating this achievement in 2022.
