Overwatch August 24th Patch Notes

player progress

Hero update

support

ilari

Developer Comment: Ilari has performed strongly since launch. The following changes are intended to promote a better balance between healing and damage, while adding more counterattacks to her abilities. We’re nerfing the Healing Tower because it was often placed out of sight or at odd angles, and wasn’t being destroyed as often as we expected. It’s not immediately intuitive to have Captured Sun ignore obstacles, but we’re also reducing projectile size, so blocking or destroying will require greater accuracy. Finally, the solarization effect lasts too long to reasonably avoid the explosion damage threshold.

  • Healing reduced from 40 to 30.
  • Shield reduced from 75 to 50.

Overwatch

“Overwatch” is a multiplayer first-person shooter game developed by Blizzard Entertainment in 2016. It was first released for PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One in May 2016, followed by the Nintendo Switch in October 2019. All these platforms support inclusive features for cross-platform gaming.

As a “hero shooter,” Overwatch divides players into teams of six, with each participant choosing from an extensive cast of unique characters, called “heroes,” who possess unique abilities. These teams work together to achieve goals tailored to each map within a specified time frame.

Blizzard continues to enhance the game after launch, introducing new characters, maps, and game modes, all of which are free. The only additional cost for players are optional loot boxes that can be purchased for cosmetic items.

Overwatch gameplay

Overwatch stands out as an online team-based game that focuses on a first-person shooter experience. The core of the game revolves around various game modes, each of which is crafted with squad-focused combat that pits two rival teams, each consisting of six players, against each other.

Participants have the opportunity to choose from a diverse roster of more than two dozen pre-designed hero characters, divided into three different class types: Damage Hero, responsible for causing significant damage to attack or defend control points; Tank Hero, equipped Complete can absorb a lot of damage; supports heroes and is good at providing healing and other beneficial effects to teammates.

Each hero has a unique set of abilities that define key attributes such as health and movement speed, including a primary attack, a range of active and passive skills, and an ultimate ability that can only be used when performing offensive actions against an opponent. Aid allies.

Overwatch is unique in allowing players to switch heroes throughout a match, a feature designed to foster flexible team compositions that can adapt to evolving situations. Some journalists categorize the game genre as “hero shooter”, emphasizing its emphasis on professional heroes and unique class characters.
