Paris Olympics Winners: What was the cash prize awarded to India’s Paris Olympics medal winners?

India has won a total of six medals in the Paris Olympics 2024. The country has won a total of seven medals in the Tokyo Olympics.

Manu Bhaker won two bronze medals in shooting, one in team event with Sarabjit Singh and another in individual event. Neeraj Chopra won a silver in javelin. The country’s men’s hockey team won bronze by defeating Spain. In wrestling, Aman Serawat won bronze.

Here, we list the cash rewards that players received after winning honors for their country.

Men’s Field Hockey Team

The Indian Hockey Association announced that each member of the men’s hockey team will receive a cash reward of 1.5 million rupees. In addition, each logistics staff will also receive a reward of 7.5 million rupees.

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Manjhi announced a bonus of Rs 4 crore for defender Amit Rohidas, while Rs 10 lakh was given to each support staff and Rs 15 lakh to each player.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann also announced that each team member of the state will receive a cash reward of Rs 1 crore.

Neeraj Chopra

As of now, there has been no official announcement of the prize money awarded to Neeraj Chopra. However, he received a prize money of Rs 6 crore from the Haryana government after winning the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics.

Aman Surawat

Aman won a bronze medal and will receive a yet-to-be-determined cash prize for bringing honor to his country.

Swapnil Kusala

Swapnil won bronze in the men’s 50m rifle three-position final. He received a prize money of Rs 1 crore. This was announced by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

Manu Bakker

Manu Bhaker received a cash prize of Rs 30 lakh. The award was presented by the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports. The 22-year-old was also the flag bearer for India at the closing ceremony.

All in all, Paris 2024 was a remarkable chapter for Indian athletes. India won a total of six medals, a commendable performance this time, although it was one less than in Tokyo.
