Rainbow Six Siege Operator Tier List 2023, Operators Ranked, Characters, and More

rainbow six siege

Rainbow Six Siege is an online tactical shooter developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. It made its world premiere on December 1, 2015 on PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One. Exactly five years later, on December 1, 2020, the game also launched for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. In addition, the game will be available on Google Stadia on June 30, 2021, and on Amazon Luna in January 2022.

The game’s core features include a strong focus on environmental destruction and cooperative gameplay between players. In various modes such as hostage rescue, bomb defusing, target control in confined spaces, etc., each player plays the role of attacker or defender. While the game lacks a traditional single-player campaign, it does offer a neat series of offline missions called “scenarios.”

These missions can be played individually and follow a loose narrative that centers on trainees preparing for future conflicts with the White Masks, a terrorist organization that poses a threat to global security.

2023 Rainbow Six Siege operator tier list

Rainbow Six Siege is now in its eighth year and has an impressive roster of over 60 operators to choose from. Therefore, understanding the best options for offensive and defensive roles can be quite challenging. The arrival of Year 8 Season 2 introduces the debut of Swedish operator Fenrir.

The upcoming Operation Heavy Valor update will deliver a slew of substantial balance adjustments, including the introduction of new attackers, a rework of Frost, the second part of the Grim buff, and many other changes. Instead, some characters in the game, like Melusi and Sledge, are noticeably slowed down, while others, like Dokkaebi and Zero, bucked that trend and received speed buffs in previous updates.

Of course, these modifications have a direct impact on our tier lists, as explained below. The top three attackers and defenders are not ranked in any specific way, followed by a comprehensive tier list for each category.

“Rainbow Six: Siege” operator level list 2023 operator rankings

The recently launched Fear Factor update for Rainbow Six Siege brings significant balancing and tweaks. The update focuses on improving attacker speed while also introducing new gadgets for defending against operators. In Rainbow Six Siege, operators assume one of two roles: attacker and defender. These operators are divided into five different tiers.

S-level: S-level operators exhibit excellent attack and defense capabilities. They have frag grenades and impact grenades, increasing their overall effectiveness.

A-level: A-level includes operators who are slightly weaker than S-level. Despite this, they remain powerful and valuable, often playing an integral role in promotions.

Class B: Class B operators are not as powerful as Class S and Class A operators, but they can be influential when selected alongside higher-tier operators.

C-Tier: C-Tier includes operators with below-average strength, making them less popular in higher-level matches. However, they can excel in certain scenarios and situations.

Tier D: Operators in Tier D are considered the weakest operators in the pool. It is recommended to avoid using them if possible. Although advantageous in certain situations, the use of these operators is generally not recommended.

Rainbow Six Siege gameplay

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Siege is a first-person shooter in which players take on the role of various characters within Rainbow Squad. Each operator is of a different nationality and equipped with different weapons and equipment.[3] The game has an asymmetrical structure and team composition may lack balance in abilities.

Available Basic Counter Terrorism Units (CTU) include the American Hostage Rescue Team (FBI SWAT), British SAS, German GSG-9, Russian Spetsnaz, and French GIGN. Each unit has four operators, responsible for the offensive and defensive sides. Additional units have been introduced via downloadable content.

Players also gain access to a versatile “recruit” operator who offers a wider selection of gear at the cost of unique gadget or weapon customization. Operator choices, including spawn points and weapon attachments, must be made before each round and cannot be changed mid-round.

The in-game currency, “reputation,” is earned at the end of a match, with various game modes offering different reputation rates. Players can use reputation to purchase operators and cosmetics. “R6 Points” are a premium currency earned with real-world currency that allow faster acquisition of cosmetics such as operators and skins

When an online match starts, the attacker and defender choose a spawn point. Next comes the preparation phase, where attackers take control of drones for reconnaissance while defenders build defenses without revealing key details. The map emphasizes close combat, and players do not respawn until the end of the round. “Support Mode” enables eliminated players to help their team by accessing the camera.

Siege emphasizes the destruction of the environment through procedural systems. Buildings can be demolished with explosives or gunfire, promoting strategic gameplay. Bullet penetration and destructible surfaces combine to add tactical depth. Defenders can fortify walls and deploy shields for protection, while traps like barbed wire and explosive laser lines can deter attackers.

Vertical space, such as rappelling through windows, and powerful tools, such as grenades and breaching charges, significantly affect gameplay. Games last three to four minutes, and communication and teamwork are the keys to victory. Audience mode enables dynamic viewing angles.
