Resident Evil 4
“Resident Evil 4” is a horror video game produced by Capcom. It was launched in 2005 for GameCube. In the game, you play as an agent named Leon S. Kennedy. Your mission is to rescue the president’s daughter Ashley, who was kidnapped by a cult in Spain.
Unlike earlier Resident Evil games, this one has more of an action element and has a moving camera. People loved its story, gameplay, looks, and characters. It’s even been called one of the best games ever! It became extremely popular, selling millions of copies and influencing other games. In 2023, they released a remaster that made it look and play even better.
Resident Evil 4 gameplay
In Resident Evil 4, you play as a man named Leon S. Kennedy. The game shows everything from behind him, like a movie camera. When you want to shoot the bad guy, the camera will look over his shoulder to help you aim better. It doesn’t have a normal aiming reticle; instead, it uses a laser to point at your target.
You can shoot enemies in different places, such as their feet or arms, to make them stumble or drop their weapons. There are also tricky moments where you have to press buttons quickly to avoid danger, like falling boulders or dangerous bosses attacking you.

The bad guys in the game aren’t ordinary zombies; they’re zombies. They were villagers named Los Ganados. They can be smart – they dodge your attacks, use weapons, and even work together. Some of the game’s big bosses are truly terrifying, such as the Regenerator and the giant sea creature Del Lago.
Your items and weapons are kept in a special chest, and you can buy, sell, and upgrade them through friendly merchants you meet along the way. Resident Evil 4 also has additional content such as side stories, costumes, and special game modes for you to enjoy after completing the main adventure.
Resident Evil 4 Plot
In “Resident Evil 4”, the story revolves around U.S. government agent Leon S. Kennedy’s mission to save Ashley Graham, the daughter of the U.S. President. When Ashley is kidnapped by a mysterious cult called the Light of Light, Leon travels to a remote village in Spain to find her. In the village, he discovers that the villagers are infected by a mind-controlling parasite called Las Plagas, who serve a cult.
Leon and another prisoner, Luis Serra, worked together to escape, but they later went their separate ways. Leon eventually found Ashley in the church and rescued her, but they learned of the cult’s evil plans. Osmond Sadler, the leader of the Illuminati, plans to use the parasite in Ashley’s body to control the President of the United States and trigger a global catastrophe.
As Leon and Ashley try to escape, they face various threats, including Vitores Mendez and Ramon Salazar, who work for Sadler. Along the way, Leon meets an old acquaintance, Ada Wong, and confronts his former comrade Jack Crowther. With Ada’s help, Leon defeated Sadler and rescued Ashley, but Ada took the parasite sample, leaving Leon and Ashley to escape the exploding island.
