• Afflatus: These are the “elements” in Reverse:1999. There are six in total: stars, minerals, beasts, plants, spirits, and intelligence.
• Realistic and Mental Damage: Similar to “physical” and “magical” damage in other games. Realistic and psychic damage have their respective defensive counterparts.
• Strategy/Team Combination: Refers to the type of strategy or team composition the player wants. Synergy and team composition are key in Reverse:1999.
• Substitutes: In most stages, you can choose up to four characters. The fourth person will be waiting at the suitcase labeled “Alternative.”
• Sacc/Sacrifice Strategy: A strategy in which players purposely sacrifice their characters.
